My girlfriend is 37 and her doctor wants to have an H. She heard that if you have one done you do not experience orgasims..Have any of you out there experienced this? She does not know who to ask so I told her I would ask all the great mother's on this site.

Yes, you do experience orgasims; that is an old wives tale. I had a hysterectomy when I was in my early 20's and my doctor made a point to talk to me about this exact subject. He explained that most women have orgasims from stimulation of the clitoris so having a hysterectomy does not interfere with that at all. I can attest - my husband and I have a very fulfilling and active sex life!
I had a hysterectomy about 8 years ago. Best thing I ever did for myself. Nothing changed with orgasms. If anything, they got better. Tell your friend not to worry.

Yes I still can after a hysterectomy, they are not as strong though. Still enjoyable though.
I am fifty four, had uterine cancer, a complete hysterectomy, and was absolutely delighted, surprised and amazed at how the body can be put back together and have fantabulous orgasms!! How does that happen, I don't know but wow, a little amazing isn't it?
