I got their products for two of my children; the pillowcases, mattress covers and a comforter made a HUGE difference
My 2-year old son suffers from childhood asthma and I recently read that hypoallergenic bedding may help him. Duh... that's where he spends nearly half of his time! I'm really looking forward to getting him some new sheets and pillowcases to see if his condition will improve, but there are so many brands available and I don't know to go with. Have any recommendations? Thanks!
Because my son tested negative for dust mite allergies, I just bought inexpensive sheets and a pillow from Target. Thanks for all your help, moms!

There are pros and cons for all materials. I would have whatever you are thinking about tested with a doctor or naturopath who uses something like EAV or SCIO.
Many people are not aware that asthma is reversible. It often occurs in babies who were born via C-section because they didn't pick up the necessary bacteria in the birth canal (or because it was scooped out of the mouth immediately after birth). Using a good quality probiotic, testing for food and other allergies, detoxing any heavy metals (if he was vaccinated be assured he is overloaded with either aluminum or mercury). Mercury damages the gut and the gut is directly related to the health of the bronchial system.
Polyester type materials can cause other health problems since they create positive ions. Always look to nature for answers and you will stay healthy. One person's remedy is another person's toxin so individual testing should be done.
my daughter tested positive to dustmite. the allergist gave us a magazine to order from. as we were leaving his practice the nurse came in and said you can buy all this for much cheaper at target. made my way to target, found all hypoallergenic bedding i needed. we have been using those for almost 3 months and it has made a huge difference. my daughter no longer wakes up with stuffy nose, cough, red eyes, and red dots around her face. so i say go to target and see what you can find.
good luck
I purchase organic sheets and wash them w/ either Melaleuca
or Sun and Earth Laundry detergents. Also, I clean w/ all non-toxic products.
We have a mattress from Essetia. It's non-toxic and eco-friendly. We bought it @ the Danbury Mall.
There are foods to beware of, too...

Our allergist told us to get the "dust mite-proof" sheets for all our bedding -- these are special sheets which zip closed around your pillows, mattress, comforter and even box spring, and essentially block anything other than air from getting through. We just ordered from the catalog our doctor gave us and it was quite expensive...
However the upshot of all this is that it has been WONDERFUL!
We all wake up with no more stuffy noses and I have been breathing more clearly than I ever have in my life.
It really does make a difference -- I'd just ask his doctor if they have a recommended brand / catalog and go with that.
Good luck and based on our experience I cannot wait for you to get your sheets! :-)
You may also like to try some "trace Mineral" supplements.Only liquid ones the best. I have a sea plant called LimuPlus ($45 33 oz bottle-with added Aloe Vera, and Russian Adaptegens)has helped people majorly and there is a health food store product called Cell Food ($24.00) that you put into the water concentrated add drops to glass of water.and drink it daily. Both great. My link to my Limu is http://www.mariji.ShopVitamark.com (info on website about product!!)
Good luck with this. No one should have this dis-ease. It is from a lack of the proper nutrition in the body which is NOT YOUR FAULT! It is not in the foods we eat-unless you eat sea plants dailly like kelp or dulse or nori??? Call me anytime: ###-###-####.

I have a dustmite allergy myself and an almost 2 year old son with childhood asthma. I asked my allergist about a dustmite cover for my son's crib mattress, and he said crib mattresses are waterproof and therefore also dustmite proof. Actually, I don't know whether they make encasings for crib mattresses. If your son uses a pillow, then by all means get an encasing to put on his pillow. By the way, the encasings that the other responders and I are referring to go under your normal sheets and pillowcases, so you don't need to buy new sheets or pillowcases, but you might want to wash them each week in very hot water. I've had good experiences with buying encasings from allergybuyersclubshopping.com but I'm sure there's lots of good sites out there.
