Hey H.!
Well I have a ton of great ideas- where are you located? Will the party be in your home or do you need a location?
I have a ton of ideas and people to carry them out for you-
My business is Party Angels- we are host assistants- so its perfect for you- while you enjoy your party- we tend to getting the food out- making sure guests have drinks, keeping the areas tidy- getting the cake out- whatever it takes to keep you out of the stress and into the party!

I personally think a DVD with his pics from baby to now would be amazing- What I do for my kids parties is I take pics of them from all different ages and pop them around the house- bathroom mirrors sliding glass doors- etc- really stimulates conversation and people love it! I am not an event planner- but I have a tons of ideas and all to share. email me ____@____.com or give me a buzz ###-###-####
Pls check out my website www.partyangelsus.com
Even if you are not interested in a host assistant- I would still love to send you any recommendations-
ps- We also provide bartenders- I say rent a hall- good dj- cater the food and party! Look no further- I can hook you up with whatever you need- I am in the Colleyville area and have referrals from food to valets- all depends on how you want to do it.
Look forward to speaking with you!

I am actually in my office today doing papaer work- so give me a buzz if you would like- any time!

I got married a few years ago and my grown daughter threw my bachelorette party....I know, weird, but it was so fun! Anyway, we went to a place somewhere, I think in Dallas, called the Main Event Restaurant (I think) and all the waiters and waitresses are dressed up and it's a very fun atmosphere! We had a blast. There was a separate party room and they paid lots of attention to all of the guest and me. It was awesome! Later, we went to a place called the Dueling Piano bar. It was again, SO much fun and the guys who play the two pianos were extremely talented. I've never forgotten it. It was a great time for all. Not too raunchy, even though it was a bachelorette party, and I remembered thinking what a great way to spend someone's birthday. I would highly recommend both places. One other place is Medievel Times. We spent my 30th birthday there. Again, that was so fun! The kids really got into that and I was "knighted" because it was my birthday. Again, another great night. Good luck!

I didn't do a surprise birthday party when my husband turned 40, but I got into his e-mail address book while he was at work and I sent everyone, and I do mean EVERYONE, in it an e-mail explaining that his birthday was coming up, and I would like to receive birthday cards and give him a big box to open on his birthday. I used a friend's address for people to send the cards to. I also said that if people who didn't know him well were receiving the e-mail, I apologized, but I didn't have much time to go through and figure out who everyone was. It worked great. No one spilled the beans, I got a ton of cards, and even the people who didn't send cards (like professional contacts) all wished my husband a belated happy birthday the next time they saw him. I put the cards in a big box and wrapped it up, and then afterwards I put the cards in a notebook for him to keep.

Hello,

My Husband turned 40 this year and I had a surprise party 2 weeks before his birthday to throw him off. I sent invitations through e-mail on a seperate email id so that he would not see them. I created a invite using a baby photo, a teen photo and a current photo. Here are the words,
SHH! A little birdie told me, There's going to be a party! Beacause oh my Lordy, Your husband's name is turning 40! A surprise Pary is planned for him on (date) Be At (address) by (Time) and don't be late!
Please RSVP and Remember it's a secret.

I then planned the party at my neighbors to throw him off and told him that they invited us over for a BBQ. My kids where in on it and all our friends and family. I had all the guests and their kids arrive 15-20 minutes before the party, We walked over later. When he walked trough the door he was very surprised. I then walked all the kids back to my house who had come and needed a baby sitter. I had hired 2 babysitters to help watch all the kids. Their was pizza, drinks and goodies for them. Then went back to the party for grown-ups. I asked for no presents and asked everyone to bring a dish instead. Everyone was happy to help. I also asked everyone to bring $5 and we played couples Bunco. Anyone who came alone was paired up with someone who too came alone. It was a lot of fun. Everyone was forced to talk to everyone and meet new people and my Husband got to spend time with all his buddies.

Don't worry about Bunco being a girls game. The men really got into it and started letting the dice fly. Ladies watch your drinks when men steal Buncos the drinks go flying. They said it was "Skill" The money they brought went to the couple with the most Bunco's, Most Wins and Even the Biggest Loser went home with money.

When we finally had cake, I went and got the kids, we all sang and enjoyed desert. Fun was had by all and my Husband loved it! Good luck and I hope your husband has a blessed birthday!
