I am a stay home mom and have dealt with a child wearing a STAR band to mold one of my twins skull. SHe had torticollis and plagio and amungst other things had to deal with a helmet for 7 mos. People are cruel and asked mean questions. I started making stickers for her helmet with sarcastic sayings etc on it.
We have since graduated from the helmet, but I would like to continue helping other families like I helped her fellow helmet wearers at the office. Any recommendations on getting the word out without being a (*EEK) sales woman? I am hoping to help other parents while making a few dollars in the process. Thanks in advance!!!

I would contact your local pediatricians. I would also like to add WAY to go! People can be mean when it comes to differences in children. My son has a shirt that says "I'm not an A$$hole, I'm bipolar" I had it made because people would stare when we were out and he's in a rage.
I agree with everyone else so far! I also wanted to say way to go and thanks!!!! my sons didnt have to wear helmets, but they were all 3 born with bilateral cleft lip and palate. our oldest was fairly severe and when he was a baby people would stare like crazy when we were out, even whisper behind their hands right in front of me, drove me bonkers. Good for you for making the stickers and for wanting to help!
I checked out your stickers on your ETSY site as well as your Facebook page, they were really, really cute (and not sarcastic)! I'm sorry you had a bad experience when your child was wearing the STAR band.
I previously worked in sales (EEK!!) for a prosthetic company and came in contact with some of the most resilient, positive people that used their their experience (of losing a limb) to educate people they came in contact with that were unfamiliar how the whole thing worked. I recall them saying they were stared at but never that someone said something cruel to them.
I currently work for a testing lab and offer genetic testing while spending a great deal of time discussing the ramifications on a child and their family with pediatricians. Same situations here with the parents educating strangers (adults and children) of the situation because some of the conditions are very different.
Hope it works out for you, selling is great especially when you REALLY believe in the products like you do!!
