Hope you can help. I am meeting a gal this weekend and don't know wages.

-My son is 3 mos. old.
-She has less than 1 year experience.
-She would bring her 10 mo. old.
-Primarily childcare, little to no housework.
-She would work 4 day a week for 8.5 hours.

-I would pay her portion of FICA.

I know that this was not your question but I would not leave my 3 mo with someone who is going to pay more attention to their own 10 mo. Can't you find someone who has a daycare or watches 2 children instead of 1 being their own? I hope you do not mind my opinion but I felt I owed it to you. I would pay her no more than $10 an hour. If it is at your house, I would consider giving her certain chores such as dishes and laundry. I would also give her strict rules about not using your phone, computer, etc. Is she bringing her own food. And tell her to be honest if her child is sick. Hope this helps. I included my e-mail address in case you want the referal of a woman in Safety Harbor who has a daycare.

I would probably pay $9-10 per hour.
Normally a nanny has more experience, CPR certification etc. The avg nanny makes about $12 per hour with benefits- vacation, paid holidays, food.

I would feel leary about letting bring her 10 month old, until your baby is old enough to talk I would find a license person or facility, I think they take liability a bit more serious.

Daycare for infants are about 240/week (that's in facilities open 12 hrs per day.) I am thinking you should offer about 150/week
