I am getting a booth at a craft faiir and I have NO IDEA what to charge for the things I make. I was hoping y'all could tell me what YOU would pay for these things...

I hand paint wooden picture frames and personalize them with the childs name also. (they would be able to choose the colors, patterns. ect.) My cost$3.00 but a lot of time

Minky blankets that are 3 feet by 2 1/4 feet. The front and back are different colors. (one side black the other pink ect) They could also choose the colors if they want to. My cost $ 14.00 and about an hour of time

Carseat blanket covers. They are reversable with coordinating fabrics and have loops that hook around the handle of the carseat. My cost $14.00 and about an hour of time.

Little Blankies. These have a square foot of minky in the middle with satin on the back and about 2 inches wide around the edges. They can also be customized with colors of choice. My cost $3.00 and an hour or less of time.

The sale is in ONE WEEK so I need to get ideas on prices I just have NO IDEA what I should charge! Thank you ladies so much! :o)

So What Happened?

Thank you all for all the great ideas! I haven't ever sold my stuff before, I've just given it as gifs! Anytime I see stuff like it in stores I just think "I wouldn't pay that much for it, I'll just make it myself", so I always assume other people don't want to pay for it either lol! I looked some up on etsy and will price them similar to those and making sure that I am paying myself enough "per hour". Thanks again!!! :o)

Look at etsy for for items that you make and charge a variable rate based on the average pay and what you can gain. Also, the thing about craft fairs (I have done many, as well as sold to stores) is people will want to bargain, or have bulk discounts. So, you have to decide if you are going to go down a few bucks, or not. One thing we always do (and many other vendors) is the last hour and a half or so, put up a sign that says, buy one get one half off, or 30% off everything. ALSO... having a cheapo item is awesome. It draws people to your table and makes add on sales. Like little bookmarks/magnets that kind of stuff.

For me, I double my cost, then I add on time. for a $3 item, I would make it $6, then add on about $10 or $15. So that minkee lap blanket could go for $16-$20. Think of it this way, 50% off should be your wholesale cost. If 50% off isn't worth it to you, then you need to raise your prices.

It's also all about presentation. Tie an adorable silk or grosgrain ribbon or chunky piece of tulle around a rolled up minkee blanket, and people go nuts over them, more than they would if they were just lying flat on the table. Of course, leave a few flat so people can inspect size/quality...

car seat covers, usually from $50 to $100, that gives you a lot of room to play with price and mark down if needed:

minky baby blankets, mid $30's on up is average, depending on size:

minkey little burp cloth type sized lovies ,about $15 average:

Try looking on etsy and seeing if anyone in/near your area makes something similar to get an idea of pricing.

Well I think about it like this - how much are you making per hr? I would want to pay myself at least $15 per hour plus materials, so the carseat cover would be $29, Little blankets $18 etc. Would that work?

I hate pricing things. LOL What is your time worth to you? I would be sure to add that to the basic costs plus profit. Don't forget the cost of your booth and your time that you have to give in selling what you are making. You need to recoup that or you are paying people to take what you make, if that makes sense. I hope it goes really well for you!

I would either find another craft fair to go to quick, or do some internet searching for similar items. That should give you some indication about what people are willing to pay for the items.
