How Do You Do Mamapedia?

I wonder how you read the questions here. When you wake up in the morning and run first thing (right?) to your computer and see what questions are posted do you scroll back a few pages and see what you missed in the night, and then try to read them all, or pick and choose, or do you just take whats up latest and deal with them? I try to scroll back and catch up but by the time I do a couple pages so many more questions have come up that I never catch up. But then I just spend all day here and work till Im done and let everything else go.

lol... I do it while I'm at work.... And yes I do go back and read everything from the night before. I have read a lot of great stuff that way! If im off and dont have time to get online while I'm home I feel like I'm missing out.... I guess I'm an addict!

I've wondered the same thing myself! Usually I log in first thing in the morning and scroll through the questions that have been posted since the last time I logged out. I read the questions that have titles that interest me. I love "What would you do?" or "Did I do the right thing?" type questions. I add an answer if I can bring something to the table. I send flowers or personal messages as I go to replies that resonate with me. Thanks for the question!

I own an insurance agency but am working from home since the kids are home for the summer. So I pop on randomly, depending on what I'm doing. I start with the most current and go back depending on how much time I have. And I don't look at all the questions, only the ones that catch my eye.

I tend to not sleep well in general, so I can catch up late at night to see if there is anything I can help with. I also tend to check in a few times a day to see what is going on, some M.'s have time sensitive posts that I may be able to help with or learn from. I do not answer every post, but some days are "slow" here at home and here on the site so sometimes I read them all weather I can help or not. So, that's how I Mamapedia.

I check the MamaPedia Daily only. I scroll down and if the title of a question seems to be something I'm interested in, I check it out further. Some questions I respond to, others I don't. Some days I just look, then delete. Other days I may answer one or two questions. Then there are days when all the questions interest me. However, by only checking the daily email, I never have more than six or eight questions to scroll through.

lol do they offer Mamapedia 101? I've always wondered the best way to keep up here.

For me I think it depends on my mood. If I'm dealing w/potty issues, lets say, I tend to avoid those questions b/c noone's potty problem can be greater than mine!

I make my coffee or tea and open the site and go through my flowers and re-read the other answers from the people that sent me a flower. Then I look at the immediate questions, figuring those girls are online right now so I try to answer those first. Then I start scrolling back to see what questions I've missed and do a little catching up. Like right now it's 1:30 in the morning, I'm up with some insomnia so it's pretty easy to catch up on older questions. I'll go back to bed in a few minutes and then get up around 5ish so there wont be very much new stuff added.

I just try and look at questions that I'm interested in. There's no way I have time for even very many of them. Some questions get on my nerves and I can't take too often :) I usually skim the question but more often than not I don't feel I have anything to add.

LOL! You are funny. I usually mamapedia when the kids are eating breakfast, and then whenever I feel like I need to hear what adults are saying. :)

I usually only read the recent questions, not sure why.

I think I am like Michelle. I go back and look over the questions I missed, I only read the ones I am interested in or sound odd, or a question I have never seen posted. I do try to read all of the responses (and give out flowers) so I am not repeating the same answers, Or I will just say I agree with a poster who wrote what I was going to write.

If I cannot sleep, I like looking on here. I was on a trip recently and was not on line for quite a few days, so I just looked over titles and then read responses and gave out flowers. for a few of them I pm'd the M. and added on to some of the past questions.

On a daily basis I check in the morning and then as I check ,my FB and emails, I check in here too..

I read the headings and pick ones that sound interesting. I tend to skip the "my 3 month old won't sleep through the night" and others that are similar. I don't answer questions that have gotten a huge response- 15 responses or more - unless I have a unique perspective that hasn't been expressed. I check the website every couple of days but don't try to view every question. I enjoy seeing the responses of others.
