Hook in front and swivel
DDDD
2-5 hooks on my bras!
ALTHOUGH I CAN do the 1 handed blind unhook. (Had a boyfriend teach me)
This is kind of a silly question... I was at a jewelry party last night and somehow we started talking about how we put our bras on. I was the only one in the room that hooks their bra from the back. Everyone else hooks it from the front and then swivels it around. I was so surprised I was the only on! How do you do it?
Thanks ladies! What a fun question! Just for the heck of it I tried the swivel method and it was so awkward! Most of my bras are 2 prongs but I’ve had 3 as well and have no doubt I could handle 4, though I will never find out since I’m destined to only be a C. LOL I think it just depends how you learned all those years ago.

I hook it in the back then put my arms in and pull it up over the girls!
*Believe it or not when I broke my elbow this year all I wanted was to be able to put my bra on without help and be able to fix my own hair!
hook in the front and swivel it around.
I don't like hooking from the back - I can do it - but I don't like to.
I hook from the front and let the girls fall into the cup so that they are presented right!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...I LOVE THIS!
I am the Chef of Staff for the itty bitty titty committee...While I was nursing I was a 36 D...Now that I am not....I am barely a 34 B.
I tend to wear the American apparel bras...They are wireless and dont clip...They are all one piece..so I pull mine over.
When I want an artificial boob job for the day I wear my bomb shell bra....And with that I am a front swivel to the back....I am not that coordinated to do that sh^t blindly:)
I think it's weird that people hook and swivel. I would never be able to swivel around the ladies...they are nursing, so we are about a DDD right now. But, even before that, at my "C" stage, I have always hooked at the back.

I hook in front and swivel. I wonder if it has to do with the cup size? Like Grandma T said, if there are two hooks it is a little more difficult to get that 2nd hook when you can't see them. Not to mention, that when you front hook, the hooks are facing out, when you back hook (reach around) they are next to your skin. So it is doubly difficult with 2 hooks (or 3, lol).
Are the majority of your bras single hooks? ALL of mine are double hooks. :(
Back - I'm stunned - never even thought to hook in the front and swivel. Fun question!
The only time I ever did the hook-in-front-and-swivel method was when my shoulders were injured and I couldn't reach behind me to hook up my usual way.
I tried a few hook in the front type bras and they just didn't fit right.
Hook in the front and turn it around. If it's a two clasped bra its way to hard to get them both from the back, for me anyway. Way faster to do it in the front so you can see rather than just feel. It's the way my mom taught me, so I've been doing it that way for about 40 years. I do unhook from the back tho ;)
I do the same...in the back. I'm sure I don't look very graceful doing it, but I do :)
I hook it from the back. Unless you are small chested I can't see how you could hook it from the front and move it around to the back. How the heck do you get your arms in without being a contortionist? :-/
.
I hook it in the front & then turn it around.
I hook in the front and spin it around and bend over and drop the gals in so they dont get pinched going over the edge of the bra. And mine have 4 hooks,, I wish I was in a 1 or 2 hook bra,, but nope. I do reach around to the back to unhook them every night.so Im staying half limber. (o:
Hook it in the back. I thought everyone did.
from the back. always have, always will!
Hook in front turn it around, put arms in...but that is the way my mom did hers, so I thought that was the only way to do it.
I put it on, arms and all, and hook it on in the back.
Back hook...I agree that it's a good stretching exercise in the morning and it just feels like it's in place better when I do it that way!
From the back also, I stopped doing hte swivel thing a while back. It's just easier for me than squirming it around!
Hook in the back, can't imagine how you'd hook in the front and swivel comfortably if it's fitting right. To each their own I guess....
I strap on the loose buttons and swivel around. It's just easier to do. I don't have much to hold and I don't care if I jiggle a bit. : )
I reach back like you do. A couple of years ago, I was surprised to find out that the hook in the front and swivel was so popular. The only ones I hook in front are the ones with a clasp in the front and solid back.
fronthooks in the front, backhooks in the back - with the arms in already. Pop the drooping boobs up into the cups & I'm good to go!
& heaven forbid should you ever injure your thumb! Got mine closed in the liftgate on my Explorer...& wore a hand/thumb brace for 2 weeks. I could only wear a fronthook & it hurt like heck to hook it! So glad my thumb popped back into place this week!
That's too funny. I definitely hook from the back as well. :)
I hook in the back too.
From the back. I have never even thought of hooking it from front and swiveling around. Why on earth would they do that? Were they flat chested? My bra has 4-5 clasps. Just as Riley said, it's super simple to work all the clasps for me, and I can do the 1 handed snap to unhook them all as well as any guy can (or as well as they wish they could, lol).
In the locker room, all my friends do it the same as I do---lay your breasts in the cups, reach around back. I've played sports my whole life so I've done the whole locker room thing for about 24 years, never saw that.
I hook mine in back!
I have a large mole on my right side, right at my bra strap... actually, it's an auxiliary nipple... anyhow, I can't swivel because of that mole. So I hook in back.
Back hook for me. I think it depends on how flexible your shoulders are.
I do it just like you. The other way would take me way too long. :)
I also hook in front, swivel around, put arms through unless it hooks in the front of course. I tried to hook in the back before but found that harder for me.
Back hook.. Good way to stay limber.. As you "mature", the women that can hook in back have better flexibility in their shoulders.
I am not patient enough to sit and mess around trying to get four hooks together in the back.
hook and swivel. I'm not sure I've even tried doing it in the back. I might try now to see what the deal is about. Ha.
I only own front hook, racerback, bras...
You are supposed to put your arms in, put your breasts in, and hook it in back but I do the swivel. I am large and there are many hooks so I could never figure it out. Something that takes me 10 seconds my way would take 20 the "right" way.
Hook in the front and swivel it around. But right now I'm using nursing tank tops and I'm loving them!!
both........i prefer the hook it blindly, but some bras have like 4 clasps and i really dont have that kind of time......lol
In front then swivel it back, and mine are DDD's and have been almost all my life, after age 13 anyway.
I hook and swivel. I wrap it around myself at about waist height, swivel, put my arms thru the straps and pull it up to where it belongs. I used to reach around and hook in the back till I hurt my shoulder, but now I can't reach around there anymore. I also have 2 bras that hook in the front. They are actually harder to get "settled into" then one would think. LOL
