I have no idea how to register the boat, I just want to thank your husband for his service to our country and thank you for all it takes to be a military wife.

Hoping for his safe return and hoping the two of you have tons of fun on your boat!

If you're in Missouri - go to your local Motor Vehicle office with the title, bill of sale, and your paid personal property tax receipt from last year. Here is the website info:

call the license bureau in your area. I am not sure if you will have to have it inspected or not. I know when my brother brought a boat from out of state he had to get it inspected which all they do is match the serial numbers on the trailer and boat to your title and he had to take it to Lee's Summit. However I am not sure you have to do that anymore. I would call and ask what you need to register the boat. As for lake permits you buy those at the lake you plan to use and the price ranges according to how much horsepower your boat motor has.

Thank you both for serving our country (yes military wives serve too).

Hi D.,

I checked that you are from Olathe, I am in Lenexa, so I guess we register in the same place, we have 2 sailboats and several windsurf boards and I register them all at the same place in 95th and Lackman (on 95th a little to the west of Lackman) in the Park and wildlife recreation office.

You don't need to go to Topeka:)
OK, I couldn't find the exact address, but I found the regional office info in Topeka, I would say, give them a call and ask them.
