My Grandmother just moved here from Florida into an 1100 sqft condo. We want to hire a cleaning service for her, but she doesn't want strangers in her house and she wants me to do it. I don't mind doing it at all, but she INSISTS on paying me what she would pay a service. I told her that I would not charge her to do it, she's my Grandma and I would like to do it for her. She replied that she WILL pay me or she will get the service and have to deal with the strangers in her house (You all know that guilt trip thing!). Does anyone have any idea what they would charge? She will want to over pay me and I want to be ready for it with an answer. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
My good friend runs a cleaning service with her mom. They come in every 2 weeks and they charge $60 for a home that size, but they make the client provide all of the cleaning supplies.
I use to clean for my husbands Grandma before she passed and I would only take $50. I cleaned once a month. She tried to give me more but I'd just put it back in her purse. I don't think she even realized I was putting it back LOL.
My mom has a 1500 sq ft ranch that costs $60 every other week to clean!
My cleaning people are the cheapest in town, they charge me $70 for 5 hours. My friend has an 11 sq ft condo, they charge her $12. Some go up to $20 per hour.
