We utilize a housecleaner's services. She is a wonderful lady. She is loyal, flexible, and faithful. Our questions are, Is there a Scope of Work that covers all the areas of cleaning the house, such as seasonal and routine project work, routine essentials and recommendations?

Does anyone have a written scope of work or software that we could modify for our needs?

What can I do next?

Not really sure what you mean? When we hired our housekeeper we agreed on what tasks would be done and how often. If we have a special project or something that only needs tending to on an as needed basis (like cleaning the oven) we just ask her to do it, and pay extra if needed. Not sure why you need software when you could just have a simple conversation.

Welcome to mamapedia!

You need to set up a contract with your cleaning company. Find out what she will do and how much she will charge for it.

Anyone can grab a list from the internet. YOU need to walk around your home and figure out what YOU need done in YOUR home.

For example, I have 5 bedrooms. We only use 3. One is a den and I don't want them cleaning it. The other is the guest bedroom which is clean and only needs vacuuming and dusting. When someone comes to the house and stay, they clean it - strip the beds and make the bed, etc.

Go through each room and figure out what you want done in each room. Make a list. Go over it with her and tell her what you expect.

Use Word or Excel,

Then write room:

Living room
Dust
Vacuum couch
Hang blanket
Fluff pillow(s)
Dining room
Dust
vacuum
Kitchen
Clean microwave
Clean stove
Vacuum and mop floor
Wipe down cabinets
clean sink

Master bedroom
Master bathroom
etc.

Do you want your sheets changed? If not. So state.
When I want the inside of my stove cleaned? I tell my cleaning lady a week in advance and she charges me an extra $25.

You can do this yourself. You don't need a program to do it for you. But you need to find out what she is willing to do! Many companies will NOT clean windows, it's an extra charge...many companies will NOT start laundry nor will they move knick-knacks.

Good luck!

Does she not have a list of things she does? When we moved here to Georgia all the cleaning companies I spoke with came in with a check list that they do for each room.

For extra fees, they will clean out the refrigerator and inside the oven. When we moved in, they did the initial move-in deep clean. It was about $400, which Tyler and I felt was reasonable. They cleaned the cabinets inside and out, moved the refrigerator and stove and cleaned behind it. It made my life so much easier since we had driven from California to Georgia and went to a hotel for a month while we found our home. We were going to move in with our in-laws, but felt that adding six people and 2 dogs would be too much on them and their house.

Any way, go room by room like others said with your lady and ask her what she feels needs to be done and what you want done.
