going to a house warming party, would like to bring a gift. I already brought a plant the first time we visited, and I hate wine so i don't want to bring that and then have to drink it if they open it. I know the family likes to have game nights. Mom Dad, second grader and preschooler. ANy ideas that they might not already have stashed in their closet??

The brand "Think Fun" has GREAT games for all ages. Child thru adult.
Barnes & Noble and Amazon has it.
My kids love their games and we do too.
It promotes problem solving and creativity.
And it is fun.
And appealing.
And "Twister" is always fun, for any age.
Not sure if the preschooler could play it, but it's still an absolute blast for families, friends, and is also awesome for an ice breaker with new friends.

I second the game "Pit".
Not sure the ages of the kids you will be buying the game for but we played a hilarious game with some friends in Texas called "Imagine If..." It had been a long time since I laughed so hard! I just recently saw it in the board games section of my local Target....we bought it for our family and any friends we have come to visit :-)
