Do you know any secret tricks to get nail polish out of the carpet? I'm about to get the scissors out...

depending on the color of the carpet you might want to try nail polish remover. I have used that on very light carpet and it worked. Just be sure the remove it immediately after applying as it can dissolve the carpet glue. I also was using Goo Gone last week and noticed that it lists fingernail polish on the container as something it can get rid of. I have not tried it myself but I know it can get paint off of things so I don't know why it wouldn't work.
Hi, A. - Sol-U-Mel gets rid of everything! We had it get road paint off my daughter's navy blue Jeep! Happy to provide more info. Good luck!
I used this website, http://members.tripod.com/~Barefoot_Lass/carpet.html
when someone had left lipstick in their pocket and i washed it. I put in the link for carpet cleaning. Maybe it will help.
Good luck!
be very careful with any chemical with actone in it. It will remove the finger nail polish and it will also change the color of the carpet.
I use "Hot Spots" on the carpet -- it get grape juice and red juice out of white carpet.
Here's a tip that one of my girlfriends uses with her daughter -- always put newspaper under your feet or hands when you have polish out. If you also have the nail polish remover out put papertowels or an old wash rag so if it tips over it doesn't remove the color of anything.
