Hi. I am a single mom of a wonderful litte 6 year old boy. I am trying to find something to get him and keep him intrested. Even somehthing we can do together! He is considered ADD/ADHS and I think he just gets bored and I want to find a few hobby ideas tha we can do together to keep him occupied other than video games. Any ideas would be greatly appreciaed.

My oldest also has ADHD - he adored Legos at age 6 and was very, very skilled with them. He was amazing at following the picture directions and was building pretty advanced kits. He's not so into the kits now (he's 8), but he still plays with his Legos a LOT.
The main thing with an ADHD kid is to brainstrom with him and let HIM come up with ideas - then he (or both of you) try them out. Of course, that works best with all kids, but you and I both know what you'd be setting yourself up for if your son doesn't feel engaged in advance. The best thing about the Legos were that we got a break while he entertained himself for a change!
For things we did together - I read to my son a lot at age 6. He liked Magic Treehouse books then. We also got him a skateboard and a scooter, and sometimes he even went running with his Dad for short distances. We started martial arts at about age 6 as well. Swimming didn't work out well until last summer.

Cub scouts is a great place to start, they have a variety of projects that should keep him interested.
Swimming has been shown to help concentration (think Phelps) and is a good way to burn excess energy.
If he can focus, models come in a huge selection of areas and difficulty ratings.
My son is almost six and he and many of his friends love legos. They will build them and then play with them every day. My son also loves sports, so any opportunity to go outside and play football, baseball or soccer makes him happy. Riding his bike is great too. He loves to play board games, so we have a bunch of different games that he and I can play together. He also will sometimes play board games by himself, pretending there are two different players (and calling the other one "the computer").
A gym class. My grandson, I call him wild man Jack, loves it and has learned so much. The teachers were thrilled with the progress he made.
My son was really into building little ramps (with help) he could then ride his bike off of. He was so excited to "catch air!" even though it was maybe an inch or two!! He spent a lot of time outside riding his bike on his ramps. Can you build some easier models together? Can you join a lego club? We have a neat one here by where we live. Can you build a fort together outside?
Martial arts are great for kids! Great for Focus!
My 6 yo boys (have had two, now) LOVE legos and baseball (still do!)
Tennis
My 6 year old son, loves tennis.
Skateboarding. My son does this too, as do we.
Hiking
Art
I would suggest an activity that is always changing to keep his interest. What about boy scouts or some type of sports?
My son has ADHD and we have tried the following, but they didn't go over very well: soccer, t-ball, karate (class was too big for him to focus)
Swimming, however, is going GREAT!
Complex puzzles (slightly over his age group) are good
Art projects
Listening to me read - mine also loves the Magic Treehouse series - we have done about 7 of the books so far, and have plenty left to read
Legos would be great for him----
