I am a size 18 all the nice gowns at stores are way over priced for a dress i only want to use one time at a wedding any one know of a good considment store here in colorado area. I will drive to anywhere that is 30 min. from aurora.
There used to be several consignment stores on 6th avenue, I believe one was called "Snob Shop" the other one is one 6th Downing, or used to be. good luck.
Have you tried looking on line? Many times you can find exacatly what you are looking for new. I don't know what your price range is but I would bet you could find something. Try Google and look under plus size evening gowns under $100. That's where I would start.
Have you tried the Good Will Store on Parker and Bellview Near the Wal-Mart? They have pretty nice items at a reasonable price.
There is an amazing secondhand plus size boutique on Kipling at 39th. It is across the street from the Wheatridge Rec center. Worth the drive, I promise. They used to have a whole bridal store, but have now absorbed the separate store into the main one. They are not open Sun or Mon.
I've heard there's another one on 25th in Edgewater- might want to check it out while you're over here- but I haven't been there.

Have you tried one of the Thrift Stores like Arc or Goodwill or Savers. Sometimes they have really decent stuff for cheap. Especially if you are only going to use it one time.
