We are all different in how we recover, my sister gave birth to a breech baby and went shopping in pre preg clothes the next day! But you could have a complication that needs more attention and should see your Dr and soon. Life is too short to be hurting and if you let it go and it is serious Bryce will miss you while you recover. All the best to you!!

I tend to not pay too much attention to what I read because a lot of times they are based on average recovery times or best case scenarios. Each person's body is different and will recover in its own time. However, if it is affecting your daily activity and keeping you from doing everyday things, you probably want to ask your DR. They may have a better idea of whether or not it is your uterus shrinking back or if there might be another source for your cramping. Keep track of when it bothers you most and see if there is a specific time of day or activity that you do when the pain increases. The more information you can give your DR. the better they can help you with what you need. I know my tailbone area hurt for months after, and that was due to the childbirth...I had a hard time sitting comfortably, but it eventually went away on its own. This is the time to enjoy your baby! Congrats!

Hi A.,

From reading your request. It could be alot of things if you are nursing your little boy, I had cramps in my stomach area for 6 months each time I nurse I would get cramps. You have to remember you are carrying a little baby around all the time. You are hutch over alot changing diapers, changing clothes, giving baths, getting the baby in and out of car and stroller. To top it off you may not be getting all the sleep you need too. As a first time mom it hard enough and then you body is healing too so please ask for help if you need it.

Good Luck!

Go to your OB/GYN, and check. That is they only way to find out for sure, why you are having these pains.

With any kind of pain, do not second guess it.

All the best,
Susan

Hi A.:
I had two babies, and believe me....It takes longer than a few weeks for your uterus to get back in some sort of shape. I think some of these OB Drs are nuts in the head. That, or they get some sort of kickback, for suggesting that women bounce right back after giving birth,so men will expect us up and doing our regular routines sooner, rather than later!Believe me when i tell you..It never shrinks back to the way it was. After my first was the roughest. It took me months before I felt half way decent....Or was able to enjoy having sex! I mean come on...You carried that baby in your uterus for 9 months, then gave birth. You really think you are going to bounce right back? Your body needs time to heal itself. If your concerned, then you should go to your Dr. who said you should feel GREAT after a few weeks, and ask him WHY your still hurting. Congrats on your darlin baby boy.I hope your feeling better soon .J. M

go see the doc, the only thing that comes to mind with cramping is cysts that sometimes develop and then rupture. But get your butt in to see the doc.

i recovered very fast in like a month. if you have stopped bleeding is there a possiblility that you could be pregnant again. i got pregnant right after i had my daughter.i also went on the birthcontrol shot so not having a period didnt seem odd to me. i didnt know i was pregnant (i also didnt know that it takes about a month for birth control to work best) and i also miscarried that baby. i agree wth everyone else and you better get checked by your obgyn. and if you have stopped bleeding and are not taking birthcontrol maybe take a preg test too. good luck!

A.,

Every woman's body is different...I could tell you that my recovery after an emergency c-section was a breeze, but it's not your body.

Our body's are designed to have impulse reactions to tell us something is not right, and if you are experiencing pain that is affecting your day and making it tough for you to function, please call you OBGYN and get in asap.

Good Luck and Congrats on the bundle of love!
