On eBay you can enter search Terms and save the search and get notified anytime an item gets listed with those search terms, this way you should be able to find one sooner or later! Good luck!
It appears my daughter has lost her most beloved friend in a store a few days ago. We have went back 4 to 5 times asking to check lost and found as well as scouring all aisles and shelves. We cannot seem to find her. We have searched feverishly for hours but we do not know the brand of the doll. We do have a picture of it and know that it was sold a target/ babies r us approximately 4 years ago. Do you have any suggestions on how to locate such a precious item for a little girl who keeps telling me that she cannot sleep without her?

:( Without a brand, it will not be easy, I'm afraid. You might check eBay and type in as many search words as you can (if there's anything distinctive about the doll?). It was on eBay that I found a replacement for my older daughter's missing lovey. My other thought is that you might take the photo to Babies r Us and see if anyone there (who has been working there a few years) might remember the brand name, or anything that might help you. Was it on your baby registry, by any chance? Maybe they could look it up that way.
I know how anguishing this can be but if you cannot replace it with an exact copy take her to the store and have her pick out a new lovie. Hopefully if she picks one out she will accept it and be happy again.
Maybe get her a couple of stuffed animals or other rag dolls to have in her room and trade off sleeping with them so she is comfortable with having a different one if her favorite gets lost, torn, dirty and she can't have it for a night.
Try ebay. It took me a while to hunt it down, but that's where I found replacements for my son's discontinued lovey. I bought two for good measure and enforced the "Ganget has to stay home" rule!
Have you tried looking on Target's and Babies R Us web sites? They might still carry it.
Can you describe it here?
Might ring a bell with someone, and that could give you more to go on for your search.
Good luck!
