'Bikini Zone', a cream you put on the area after shaving, has worked great for me! No more bumps and irritation.
Hello Mamas! As I've aged (I'm 41) my bikini line hair has been moving farther and farther to the side and onto my legs! (funny since the hair on my actual legs has lessened considerably) I shave it but but I usually get razor rash. Even when I don't have much razor rash it still seems like you can see the dark circles of the hair follicle. Any one have ideas? I need something not very time consuming that I can do at home. I do not have the time or financial resources to get out to a salon. Any suggestions for hair removal products or soothing products for razor rash? Summer is here and it's bathing suit time.....

Stripper trick: (LOL... another one!)
Use secret unscented solid deodorant on your bikini line (or anywhere you get red bumps from shaving) and it prevents them from happening. I don't know why but no other brand (or type) works like magic the way Secret Unscented Solid does.
Just warn your partner. No one like deodorant on their tongue.
Magic Shave. It's actually marketed to black men for their heads, but works great for curly bikini hair too. You won't find it with the regular razors & hair removal stuff, it's with the ethnic hair care section.
i shave my bikini line every day in the summer(we have a pool, so we are always in it) - there's a product called bikini zone, i want to say it's near the shave gel and such in the stores, it's sold in a little white package similar to neosporin, and it's a tube of gel(pretty sure it's lidocaine or a similar topical anesthetic). i put some on immediately after each shave and the irritation isn't as severe, no little bumps, which enables me to get a closer shave the next time i shave, which lessens the appearance of the hair follicle. hope that helps :)
If you can stand the pain, buy a water soluble wax kit (the water soluble part is very important!)! I can't seem to find it anywhere though nowadays. My friends say you can find it in pre-waxed strips that you rub together to warm up.
I have noticed that too after 3 pregnancies I shave daily including this zone what I use is body washes with moisturizer or hair conditioner I don't get the red bumps. You can dab baby oil on before shavign & after to keep them down or use the baby oil gel.I want to try waxing but after my home experience YIKES..
If you are just looking to remove the hair the is moving farther and farther away from your original hair line pick up a wax kit. I suggest one that is washable because there is nothing worse then getting wax that needs to be rubbed and rubbed with oil to get it off of such a delicate area
Good Luck and happy grooming
I would recommend Nair. It smeels like burning hair (because it is) but it is gentle and leaves you smooth as a baby's but. Cheap and you can do it at home.
I've given up totally and gone with swim shorts! not the long board shorts but the short ones or a swim skort- then I don't have to worry that everything is perfectly in order.
I learned this from my ex stripper friend (Yikes tmi lol)
Coochie cream (google it) and baby powder.
