Put him in the bathtub, give him some toys, and let him play in there for a while. Maybe by submerging the bandaid for several minutes will soften/loosen up the adhesive and it will slide off or pull off easier. Good luck!
Last night, we put a band-aid on my son's leg. It was one of the big ones to cover several insect bites that he had scratched open. This morning I went to take it off, however, it is stuck. If I try to rip it off, I am going to take the skin with it. I have tried wetting it to loosen it up, but no luck. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get this off???
I have been out of town or I would have said this sooner....Thanks for all of the suggestions! I had already tried soaking it without much success. I ended up using some rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball. Wow! It came off nice and easy, and with no pain. Thanks!

Baby oil-rub some baby oil on the sticky part.
Hi,
Soak his leg in warm water in the tub. Vegetable oil might work.
Don't leave a bandage on for a long period of time. The adhesive can break down the skin and cause a wound. So what do you do? Lightly wrap, not tightly, with sterile gauze and use medical paper tape.

soaking his leg in the bath tub warm water & soap then gently taking it off
Take a cotton ball soaked in baby oil and lift a tiny corner of the band-aid. Continue to push the band-aid off little by little with the cotton ball. The oil will remove it easily and painlessly.
try soaking it with baby oil or Goo-gone.
If it seems to be not responding to the "soak in soapy water" approach--try some baby oil or olive oil. I've had that happen with a waterproof bandage that would not budge. Good luck.
Rub baby oil on the band-aid.
Q-tip with fingernail polish remover.
My daughter had a bandaid on her leg not too long ago, and it was half falling off. She refused to let me pull it off, so I convinced her to let me "clean" it (it had a mess of that sticky gunk with dirt lol) I put some Goo Gone on a papertowel & just wiped it. I let the Goo Gone soak into the bandaid & just kept wiping around it and slightly pulling on it. She was watching TV so not paying attention to me. I worked it off very easily and all clean! :)
Washed her leg with soap & water afterward too, to get the Goo Gone off.
Take a Qtip swab and dip it in rubbing alcohol. Then gently dab along the edge where you are very slowly and gently pulling the bandaid up from the skin. It will remove the glue without pain. Just pull and swipe, pull and swipe... simultaneously.
Soak in the tub for awhile.
Try soaking the edges with baby oil. Or use a q-tip to keep rubbing baby oil where you are pulling the edge up while pulling it up.
Time for a nice long soak in the tub! It never fails!
rub the glue with rubbing alcohol. It will take the sticky out of the glue.
