I am hoping someone can give me some clearance on this..

I have had vaginal bleeding for 14 days now, which is not normal for me. I was on the DEPO for a while but have been off it for three months, I had two regular pds the past two months. I just started to get some serious cramping in my abdominal area... What could this be?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

They thought I had STDS, which I dont. Tests were negative, so the question remains. The bleeding stopped, PAIn didnt

It could be tons of things, many quite dangerous (including miscarriage with our without retained tissue). However, it's probably your hormones straightening themselves out. It's not abnormal for women to bleed either the ENTIRE time they're on depo or for over a month or two coming off of it. Even if it's "just" hormones straightening themselves out... there's serious health effects when you're losing that much blood.

Have you ever been checked for fibroid tumors? They're not malignant and are usually left alone by doctors until they start giving you problems. The biggest problem they give is constant and often heavy bleeding. They are located in the lining of or on top of your uterus and can grow quite large, although often they never do. You can have them for years with no problem and then suddenly they become an issue. My mother had a hysterectomy for them at 41 and I have them and think they may be starting to cause problems.I'm 40 and first was diagnosed with them when I was 28. I've never had issues until the last 4 months or so. If you haven't been diagnosed, you should call and see your doctor. Whatever it is -even a hormone imbalance -that's not normal.

Could be any number of things, you should get checked by your GYN, Fibroids could cause heavy bleeding and cramping, the only way to know is with a uterine ultrasound.

You should call your doc to find out. It could be progesterone let down. Unless you were pregnant and are having a miscarriage.

Call your doctor & let him/her know about it. I was on Depo for 6 years, came off of it & went on Implanon which for the first year was great but then I bled for almost 3 months consistently. Came off of it & now have been on nothing for 16 months & am just getting back to normal.
