Cortisone over the counter - it's soothing and helps with itching so she won;t be as tempted to pick at it and it will also heal it - 2/3 times a day until gone - be sure and blend in
Good Luck
My 2.5 yr. old daughter continually picks at a spot on her chin. She had the same type "blemish" about 6 mos. ago and it literally took like 2 months to heal due to her messing with it. Well, the spot is back and has been for a month. I'm not sure what the cause is to begin with, all I know is that she constantly messes with it when we're not there to monitor (mostly in the early a.m. while lying in bed.) We've tried peroxide, neosporin, band-aids (stickers), etc. I know it would heal if she would stop touching it. We tell her daily not to touch it because it makes an ugly spot on her face. She understands, I just don't think she can help herself. I hate to be vain, but I don't want her to scar and it's ruining the pictures we take of her. Any ideas?

Good Luck
Healing spots tend to itch, I found that if I gave a little children's bendryll, it slowed down the picking. Just an idea, Good Luck.
( watch the dosage and try giving it at night, if she doesn't sleep, try the morning, some kids have different reactions to it, some sleepy, some wired, and some even angry, but a 1/2 teaspoon should be ok )
I have a trick! My first child had a place on his forehead that he couldn't leave alone...just like your little girl. Liquid Bandage! The moment we smeared some on...he couldn't get to it...it stopped bothering him...and it healed. It was that simple. Good Luck!
Everytime you catch her picking at it doctor it to stave of dirt and germs. Cut her fingernails way back so she can't do much damage picking.
Hi, J.!
My 4 year old is the same. She is prone to bug bites. It never fails that there will be one day we forget to slather her in bug repellent and she'll come inside freckled with bites. In a day or two she scratched so many of them she looks like she has leprosy! We've tried Benedryl, cortisone cream, band aids, liquid band aid and wearing clothing that covers her spots to no avail. Our doctor prescribed triamcinolon acetonide cream and now her spots heal quicker than she can pick at them. As a side note, this cream is also used for serious diaper rash. Maybe your doctor could help you out if the other remedies fail.
Good luck!
My daughter does the same! She's always coming up to me saying look at my pimple! I just try to keep her distracted. I can't wait to see the other ideas! Good Luck, your not alone!
