Daughter Won't Quit Scratching Sore on Leg

It's been almost a year now and my daughter, almost 2, has a spot on her leg that just can't heal. It started out as a simple scratch from an accident. She scratches it when she is tired and even while sleeping. I tried putting her to bed with tights on to also wearing them under her clothes at school. As soon as it almost gets healed, I catch her opening it up to the point of bleeding while I'm changing her diaper. Doctor has given creme, basically cortizone, to put on it. She had an eczema issue at birth. I only wash her in Arbonne wash and lotion products. And I only give her a bath twice a week. So the rough patches are gone. Could this be part of the Eczema? What do I do? I'm afraid she will basically have a huge scare on her leg for the rest of her life. Legs are important to women. It's my job to fix this! I'm clueless?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I went to Akins and bought some children's dry skin lotion. Believe it or not - 2 weeks later.....she doesn't scatch it as much. It seems to be slowly starting to heal. I thought Arbonne was the best, but I was wrong. Thanks for all your advice. I've asked the doctor about this for a year now and he just says she will grow out of it. It doesn't itch that bad for now reason......But they can't know everything, can they?

I have eczema so I can tell you that they should heal. I would put a band-aide over the spot but also put neosporin on it. Get one of the band-aides that tape all the way around and put neosporin on it and then leave it all day. I do this for my fingers that break open. They start healing right away. If you do not have neosporin then put a drop of lotion maybe. The area is dried out and needs to be re-hydrated. Try to make sure that she drinks a lot of water too. That always seems to help. If my skin is dry then I get an extra glass of water.

Have you tried putting a band-aid over the spot? Get the good band-aids that stick really well so she won't want to take it off right away (it would hurt).

i don't want to sound like i bad,but i would take her to the dr. it may be something a little more serious than you think, sores that won't heal is not a good sign.
