Try going to www.daycare.com and there you will need to scroll down just a lil and you can either put in a city/state or area code. They have some real good centers on there.
Let me know if this helps you.
I have had a horrible experience with a daycare in Arlington where we live. I work in the Irving/Las Collinas area and would like to find a really good daycare in this area. I am looking for a center that has a compassionate staff and educational curriculum. If you know if a good center, please share. I have lost sleep and have cried every night about how horrible things are at this current daycare. PLEASE HELP!!!

I recommend that you go to the TX Dept. of Family and Protective Services website for licensed childcare and search.

I have used the same in-home licensed childcare provider for both of my children from 2-3 months old until 3 years old. She is awesome and liek family. Then, I put my son in a private preschool at age 3, and my daughter will start this Fall.
Good luck!

Hi, I too live in Arlington and work in the Irving/Las Colinas area. I am curious though, which day care did you have a horrible experience in so that I can make sure I never put my son in that one.
Have you tried Primrose in Las Colinas? It's near the hospital.
I am in the same boat. I've been to several centers that seem to be okay. I haven't decided on a center yet. Morgan Private School (very affordable), Children's First Academy, and Kinderquarters. I understand your fears. My daughter actually LOVES her current daycare (Fair Oaks at Walnut Hill) but I'm starting a new job in Irving (183 and ValleyView)..if your interested in in-home care I met with Miss Brenda www.missbrenda.com she was very kind..might be worth a shot.
Good Luck!

I took my son to Adventure Daycare in Irving -###-###-####. It is a smaller place without all the bells and whistles, but the staff there are VERY caring and they do provide a good education. Good luck!
Dear O.,
I do not personally know of a child care center in Irving, but I do know of a website that helped me choose Campfire in Fort Worth. Please try the following link:
http://www.dfps.state.tx.us/Child_Care/Search_Texas_Child...
It outlines curriculum and also shows every inspection and incident report with outcome conducted for several years. I hope this help you to make a more educated decision, I know it helped us!
Good Luck,
E.
I'm so sorry you have had to deal with this situation. I haven't used them personally, but several friends have recommended Primrose of Las Colinas. I did visit the facility, and it is very clean, bright, has friendly staff, etc. I was going to sign up my daughter to attend there next year, but we are moving to Keller, so I'm now looking into Primrose in Keller. Good luck!
We use a nanny but when I was trying to find a daycare center in Irving/Las Colinas, I was given great feedback on Kids R Kids ###-###-#### with website at http://kidsrkids10tx.com/index.htm One of my good friends has a nephew who has gone there a long time and really had great experience with it.
Also heard good things about Primrose, which is located near 114/MacArthur, but I don't have specifics on it. I drive past it all the time and for what it's worth, the buildings look super nice. Not sure what the ages are for this group.
Another daycare possibility, that I have no real information on, is Miss Bloomingdale's Academy located basically at Riverside and 114. My neighbors once mentioned their child goes there, but that's all I know. We were going to tour there but never did. Here is their website http://www.missbloomingdales.com/
I wish you luck as I know how scary it can be when your baby is not in a good situation while you are at work!! I hope one of these might be the solution for you. I'd really check out Kids R Kids in particular.

O., Miss Bloomingdale's Acadamy is AWESOME! I highly recommend them. My children went there until Kinder and 2nd grade (My son from 15 months - 5yrs, and my daughter form 15 months until she completed 1st grade)
We are not near family and the Miss Bloomindale's Academy family truely became a second family to us! The teachers have a genuine LOVE and care for children and their curriculum is 2nd to none! When my daughter left their 1st grade she was testing at a 3rd grade level and disturbing enough she's now in 3rd grade and hasn't really grown in public school! I wish they had an entire elementary school because they TEACH the kids way beyond your expectations!
They are off of 114 and Rochelle and let me just tell you my son liked their food much better than mine (and I'm a good cook)!
They have dance lessons, swim lessons, the whole shebang!
My daughter goes to little Shepards Luthern Church. They are the best so care and loving. It's in Arlingtona at Lamar and Madison near Whole Foods on Collins. What daycare is your child in?
