I love Regis & Kelly - I DVR it every day. I have especially loved watching the show these past few weeks with the Regis countdowns and special/surprise guests. Of all the days in the world for my DVR to fail me, it chose today, Regis' last day. My husband and I were really looking forward to watching it. Regis was finally going to disclose his notorious honeymoon story that he always refused to tell and I missed it! I am upset and I am wondering if any of you saw the show today and can PLEASE fill me in! Please tell me what the honeymoon story was all about, who the guests were, and what Kelly said/did for Regis. I want to know all of it! I'm sure it will repeat at some point, but I can't wait! Thank you!!!
I used to watch the show everyday, then a few years ago just sorta stopped. But I watched today and really enjoyed all the clips and memories. I do think what Kelly had to say was one of the most touching and heart felt great tributes to the character of Regis anyone could ever say. The way he made her feel comfortable and special really was touching.
My DVD worked, and I just watched it. The honeymoon story was silly. It was about him not having reservations anywhere, they drove around an ended up having coffee together.
They did a great tribute, and there was some tears from Kelly. You will prbably be able to see the whole show on their site or youtube.
Soooo weird that you just posted this because I also DVR'd this show to watch Regis' last day and for some weird reason it didn't tape!!! My husbad and I were so bummed! I was hoping to be able to watch it online somewhere, so hopefully someone suggests where we can find it to watch!
The honeymoon story was what Holly Beth said. Kinda silly. Guests in the audience were Trump, Tony Danza, Diane Sawyer, Katie Couric, Kathie Lee and Frank, just to name a few. Joy and his daughters did a nice tribute. Mayor Bloomberg gave him the key to the city. Pres. of ABC put a plaque on the wall on the outside of their building. It was really good. Kelly struggled a bit during what she had to say and he kind of had her end it by putting his hand on her arm. Hopefully you can view it somewhere.
It was a beautiful episode. I cried! They sang a version of "seasons of love" for Regis. The mayor of NY gave him the key. Kelly said a speech about her 42 steps that she took with him. Hope you can find it somewhere.

Kidding!! I just don't care for the show - BUT a lot of my friends had this issue on FB today...DVR's must have been against it or something!
You can always go to the website and watch episodes, I'm sure it will be there.
Oh no, me too! I LOVE Regis. He's like the grandpa I never got to know (one died before I was born & the other had severe Parkinsons and could never talk to me).
It seems like this would be rebroadcast or put up on ABC's website. Maybe as people have suggested, YouTube, or Hulu? I don't watch the show but wanted to see todays show. I like both Regis and Kelly, just never regularly watched. I also found out one of my favorite morning radio show hosts last day was today. Kind of sad but wish them the best in their new endeavors!
