HELP! Daycare Provider Birthday!

So, I just looked at my calendar and realized that today is the birthday of one of the two daycare providers at my daughters in home day care. They are a mother daughter team (and it is the moms birthday). I really would like to do something for her, quick and not too crazy expensive, any awesome ideas? She is great with the kids and spends a lot of time with her own grandkids...doesn't have any particular hobbies. I thought about taking cookies or something over, but that seems like more work for her. She is divorced and lives alone, so I'm not sure a gift card for a restaraunt would be the right thing. I'm struggling to find the right thing! Thanks in advance!

What can I do next?

Gift card to a place that has take out or delivers but has sit down as well so she can choose like apple bees, panera, Chilis. Fifteen to twenty dollarsfor an actual meal place or ten to fifteen for a panera place.

I would do a nice hanging flower pot or a pretty flower pot for her porch.

I'm a provider of over 20 years! I collected these gift ideas for providers from an online group of providers that I moderate. It's geared towards Cmas but would definitely be suitable to birthdays as well.

Bring her one cookie - just for her. No sharing allowed!
Day care teachers always think about the kids and sharing - let her be selfishly evil on her birthday and enjoy the cookie all to herself :)

I am a daycare provider and just had my birthday!

I have sensitive skin so the Bath and Body stuff is a no go for me. I am not a coffee out at places fan so another no go.

But I love love books! So I often get book store certificates. I can either use them for me or my daycare! With a nice hanging plant for my patio (the deer eat the table top or plant in the ground ones here...pests jump my fence for the salad bar! Ugh!), or pretty fresh flowers for my table...is a hit for me!

Good luck in your shopping!

Gift cards are the best thing to give. she can get what she wants or go out to eat or something. cookies are great but really will go straight to the daycare children. And as far as a gift card not being the right thing because she is single ummm they still charge you for your meal if your single lol. so yeah that would be a huge hit. good for you for thinking of your provider. so many people don't.

flowers and a card, as a former provider, just the thought that the families remembered made my day
