I just found out about these wonderful tumblers from a friend and plan to use these as my "go-to" gifts. They come in a variety of colors & designs, including sports teams, etc. My friend said you can find them on Amazon, too.
Inquiring on gift ideas for daycare provider. These are very special and important people in our lives and so being its provider week I am trying to think of some gift to show grattitude. If any of you are daycare moms what small gift would you appreciate or have received. And if you are a parent who has a wonderful provider what small gift ideas do you have. Thanks for any input. All I can think of is flowers, food gift cards, and for sure not candy. Just want some small idea to know that we are thankful for them.

Gift cards inside a card that your child makes. Fold up a card stock and let your child decorate it with stickers and drawings. Then you write a big fat thank you note also. and inside put a gift card. you leave a tip to thank a waitress for her service. this is for a service so much bigger than that. Daycare providers love the little notes and cards but a gift card is so much appreciated by a provider. especially one who is doing home care. she gets out of her house very little and even after the kids are gone spends time cleaning up and setting up for the next day. so something to pamper herself a mani pedi type thing, a dinner out, a shopping card something that is for her.
I always get ours each a plant that they can enjoy all summer. She seems to love them.
Not sure if any of my parents even know about this week, but if they do, the best gift is always a note/card/letter of appreciation. I keep all of them in a file called "Kudos". Lol. I like to look at them from time to time.
Other than that, gift cards are always nice. :)
Me? Anything but food.
How about an offer to watch her kids for an evening? A handmade note/card from your children, flowers are nice. I drink
flavored coffee so I had a family buy me a variety pack for my keurig once. Loved that. :)
I had a parent coordinate a spa day for me once. She and her husband.took the day off, for the ok from all other parents to be the caretakers for the day and sent me off to have a day of relaxation. Was so amazing! Extravagant and certainly not expected.
Gift cards are nice but how about some new art supplies to add to the stash?
We did flower pots with an herb plant last year. Bought regular clay flower pots, did hand prints with brightly colored paints, washed DS's hands for 15 minutes. Spray with clear waterproofing finish. Plant herb plant and voila. We also attached a little tag with a picture of DS making the gift with a raffia tie.
Flower pot and saucer - $1.00 (or less)
Herb plant - $3.99 - 4.99 (or less).
Keep in mind how little money they make, and get them gift cards. It could be to a local restaurant or coffee shop, a bookstore, a teacher store, or maybe Target or a department store.
Honestly - I think to genuinely be thanked. Maybe a note of your gratitude, what you feel are their strengths, and how they have made an impact on your families/childrens lives.
