I recently worked as a waitress at an Irish Pub. I had two training shifts, and in the middle of the training shifts I expressed my concern with the way that the pub does things as far as tip out and overstaffing. In the middle of my second night after my two training shifts I told them this wasn't going to work because I needed to make more money. WELL, last week I went to pick up my pay and the general manager refused to pay me for the shifts that I worked. So I called the Florida Department of Wages and Labor. They said I would have to go to small claims court because she never took my social security number and it would be hard to prove that I worked there. Sooo, I am wondering if any of you ladies had a similar experience or know of somewhere that I could contact to get my $$$...atleast make sure that this does not happen to someone else?! Thank you!

E.,

As mentioned in one of the below comments, I suggest just getting a legal letter to them. Will probably scare them into paying. Good Luck with everything!
