You might try Boles Childrens Home in Quinlan. The phone number is ###-###-####. The website is www.boleschildrenshome.org. They are wonderful. They are also on a sliding scale. I know from experience - a lot of these places are so expensive that you feel like there is no help unless you have a lot of money. They will talk to you over the phone and then interview the parents and child in person. If accepted, the kids live in a home environment with house parents and other kids (all boys or all girls). They can live there and go to school at the same time. When I had a need for help for my daughter I tried the salesmanship club - they were not taking any kids at the time. They were a Godsend to me when I needed it. Good luck!

Serious. Email Maury or Montel. I am sure they can point you in the right direction.

Hi D., I do not know what area of town your in, but I encourage you to RUN to the phone and call the salesmanship club ###-###-####), they work with children, especially kids with emotional issues. They use a sliding scale for payment. However, you pay what you think you can pay, & if you do not think you can pay, they will still work with you. Good Luck, your family will be in my prayers, T.

I would start with a developmental psychologist to rule out anything else - there may be something else going on. And demand more of the school. Suspensions and alternative schools are the educational version of a dumpster, and they are obligated to meet your child where he is and to provide him with an education. Most districts have a behavior specialist. Ask how you can access this person for advice and help. Honestly, they know you are a single parent, and they have your child for the bulk of each day - I truly don't think boot camps are any sort of answer, but I do understand that you're in a tough situation. Give him a hug and remember that he's still a little boy.
