Hello,
I had a tubiligation (sp?) after my third baby. She is 15 months old, and my cylce is a lot heavier and my cramps are worse thatn before I had the procedure done. I have talked to my doctor, and they gave me 800 ml ibuprofen, which helps with the cramps, but I am wondering if anyone else has had the same result. Thanks! M.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thank you ladies! I feel better that it is "normal", but what a pain! M.

My last daughter is 19months old and I had the opposite reaction, no cramps and very short, sometimes barely 3 days.

M.,

I had a tubal also and my flow increased significantly for the first day or so and I never used to have PMS the couple days before and now it's awful, I'm complete jerk for about 3 days prior but luckily my cramps did not. Good luck.

M.,

I feel your pain. I went from 3-day periods to 5 or 6 sometimes. The cramps I just deal with, but the longer cycles are a pain, not to mention heavier. Mine hadn't been like that since I was a teenager. So looks like it may be a normal thing and the extent depends on the individual.

I'm like you a busy, working mother of 3.

Hi M.. Count me in, also. I had a tubal after my 5th son (he's 2 1/2 now) and my menstrual flow is so heavy now that I can easily go through a super plus tampon AND a maxi-pad in an hour. The cramps are heck, but I take muscle relaxers for fibromyalgia so that helps a lot. I also lay on the couch or bed with a heating pad for the first 2 or 3 days (when the cramps are at their worst). Hugs to you. It's just something we ladies have to deal with -- but look at the rewards (our children)!

Hi M., i had the same thing happen only i would also get my period every two to three weeks. end the end, based on all the symptoms i was having my dr decided to test my horomone levels (i am only 32) it turned out that my Progesterone level was very low (post menopausal low). he prscribed me a natural horomone replacement that has worked wonders. it is not a synthetic horomone so there are NO side effects at all.

I too, had a tubal after my 3rd child, last year in April and have been experiencing the worst pains ever and my period become much heavier on the 1st day and even had clotting(i never had this before the tubal). Before the procedure I never ever had cramps during my period and my mother and friends who have had the tubal did pre-warn me about the heavier periods and pain after the procedure. I just curl up in my bed or sit in a very warm bath on the first day of mine. I did tell my OB about the pain, but they said there was nothing they could. So I stock up on Aleve and Midol.
