Some people have a successful pregnancy despite drops in hgc. My second ended in miscarriage. The doctors could do little more than do blood draws and track the levels. Best of luck.

I am having my levels checked in 2 days to see what's going on. AT 5w3d the doc confirm two small gestational sacs. But now I think I am losing them :( can anyone give me some insight??
Thank you all for your replies! It is lovely to see people that care :)
I am currently bleeding heavy (for me) now and passing clots (sorry for the dets). I have had an afternoon of crying and now I am accepting what is happening. It was hard cos each increase in blood I would get I got upset, as my 'cling of hope' diminished.
I am thankful that I am early and am able to pass it naturally. Has anyone been thru this before?? Xx

The best thing you can do is (try) to relax and (try) not to think about it. No easy task, right? Stressing and worrying isn't going to do anyone any good. Is there anything you can do to take your mind of things? Read a book, watch a movie, go for a walk?
i am sorry to tell you that you ahave probably already lost them and are going to miscarry them soon. typically the hcg should be going up, and since its gone down prepare yourself for the worst.
there is a small chance that it could dip and be a viable pregnancy with a healthy baby at the end. but the chances are slim.take it wasy for now, put your feet up and rest. trust your dr to giude you thru this an dif you need to talk to a counsleor
I also had spotting at that stage and thought I was having a miscarriage. It was a polyp and easily removed. I also had two sacs, but only one baby developed. I'm sure you are doing all the right things. You have to leave the rest up to God and mother nature.
ETA: I've had three miscarriages. Two in one year. The furthest along I was for one pregnancy was 22 weeks. It's been 12 years and there are times it hurts. I'm sorry. It's tough when you learn your pregnant that early.
J.,
Welcome to mamapedia.
You're most likely having a miscarriage. Sorry. Talk with your doctor. He/She is the one to help you. You found out REALLY early you were pregnant.
I'm sorry.
I'm sorry for your loss.
I had 3-4 miscarriages. With one of them I fell on a freshly mopped floor at work. By the next morning I was passing clots and stuff and knew it had been a miscarriage.
Thing is, later that year I suddenly had milk in my breasts. I swelled up and leaked and had to go to the doc for that painful shot. He looked at the dates of the miscarriage and when I'd have been due and sure enough, that was around when my baby would have been born.
He went in and did a D&C to clean me out. Evidently a tiny piece of matter didn't get all the way out and my body didn't really know that I wasn't pregnant anymore. I don't recall having morning sickness or anything but I did get milk in my breasts later on.
So please go see your OB/GYN and if they want to clean you out or anything it might not be a bad idea.
I'm so sorry.
I had a number of miscarriages. Only one of them went far enough for me to go to the OB (my OB waits until your period is about 3 weeks late before the first appointment). The others were more like you describe - a positive on a pregnancy test, followed by a "period" that occurred about 2 weeks late (which I know was not really a period, but a very early miscarriage).
So, it's common but that doesn't make it easy for anyone. I was very sad each time.
