We are planning to go to hawaiian falls or hurricane harbor, we have already been to hawaiian falls before but I have never been to hurricane harbor but i've heard that hurricane harbor has way more rides and it's bigger. also there's going to be two 4 years old,a 7 yr old,10 year old,12 year old, two 14 yrs old,and a 15 year old. Also if my friends daughters asked to come with us would it be rude if they pay for themselves?

What can I do next?

Go to NRH2O. It is perfect for all ages & totally family friendly. My kids love it & you can take a cooler full of food:) My kids went to hawaiian falls in Roanoke & said it was ok that nrh2o is much better(10 & 7). They have a groupon today for nrh2o that is great. Really a good deal. I bought one:) Have fun where ever you decide!

Older kids will like Hurricane Harbor better. It's bigger and have scarier rides. Hawaiian Falls is much smaller and geared towards a younger crowd, I think. If someone invited themselves, I see no issue in saying, "Sure, you can come if you buy your own ticket." But if you extended the invite, I think you should pay.

My biggest priblem wirh Hurricane Harbor is that the entry cost does not include the tube you need for most of the rides. You have to pay separately for it, then carry (more like drag) it around with you. RIDICULOUS!

I don't know about the parks, but I do not think it's rude to ask your friends daughters to pay for themselves if they ask to come along. They can't expect you to foot the bill when they weren't actually "invited."

Have fun!

It's been years since I've been to Hurricane Harbor but the last I heard (last year) was that it is pretty much a meat market and geared to the single crowd. I know it is also more expensive in that you pay for parking and you can't bring in any food or drinks. But yes - they do have more rides and larger rides. Your older kids would enjoy Hurricane Harbor more but the younger would enjoy Hawaiin Falls. If your friends daughters asked to come with you they need to pay their own way. I have asked a friend of my son's to go with us and asked they pay their own way (I just can't do it !) but offered to include them in the ice chest stuff I am bringing. We are going to Hawaiin Falls tomorrow :) They didn't have any problem with that.

If you invited them, you should pay for most of it (unless you approach the subject at the time of invitation).

Since they have invited themselves, I would say they should pay their way and you should tell them what you would expect at the time you respond to their request to join you. That way there is a clear understanding of your expectations and no assumptions on either part.

We went to Hurricane Harbor Sunday. It was fun! But my kids are little so all the huge crazy slides, my husband and I just stood there and oogled.
But there is plenty to do!
It is EXPENSIVE, so I do not think it would be rude to ask them to pay.

I would say because you have younger ones going that you should go to Hawaiian Falls. They are much more compact and have things for the little ones and the older ones as well. Hurrican Harbor is much more expensive, geared towards an older crowd, and more crowded.

To the friends that invited themselves, they need to pay.

You are taking 4 year olds, Hawaiian Falls. There are about 3 rides they can go on at Hurricane Harbor. The older kids will still have a great time. NRH2O would be good too, although I see you're in McKinney so not sure if you want to make that trek even though you are considering Hurricane Harbor. If the older kids invited themselves, I see no problem with them paying for themselves.
