magic eraser sponge works great!
Okay, now I'm cleaning the patio furniture. Yep, it's plastic--and it resists getting cleaned. I've bleached, baking soda-ed, vinegar-ed, and scrubbed it. I looked online, and on youtube someone power washed it with only water, and another sprayed bleach on it and let it sit.
Have any of your really and truly successfully gotten your plastic furniture clean? How did you do it?
Thanks!
All great replies, thanks! The award goes to Gamma G! The furniture looks its best since the day I bought it. There are still some spots, so I am going to use Krylon Fusion spray paint to upcycle them. Look for my follow up Q!

If it's a small area, you could try oven cleaner. Someone on here suggested that for my white textured (plastic) shower floor and it worked great. But I think the amount you would need for a patio set would be kind of toxic.
Time for new furniture? :)
Took it to the car wash. Used the soap cycle and the rinse cycle.
It dried just fine.
The whole reason I have plastic furniture outside is so that I don't have to clean it. It gets "washed" when it rains, just like my car.
I was going to suggest the magic eraser too.
I no longer buy white outdoor furniture. Even when they're stacked and in the shed they get dirty. I now buy dark green or if in a pinch the tan furniture. It cleans so much more easily. I'd try the magic eraser though. it seems to work on everything else.
I couldn't get the stains off, no matter what I tried. So I went to the home improvement store and they sell white spray on paint especially made to stick to plastic. Looks as good as new.
And, the faded blue kid-size plastic chairs also look like they were always white, and match the rest of the white plastic furniture.
I used 409 on ours with no problem.
Windex Outdoor Glass cleaner worked on my white plastic (resin) table and chairs. Attach to a hose, spray down, let sit in the sun for a few hours, than rinse down with plain water. Good luck!
By replacing it.
Plastic furniture degrades because of dirt, sun, heat, cold, wind, wear and tear etc. The material becomes porous and susceptible to grime. It you've taken all the steps you've listed above, by all means do the power washing, or the bleaching (no harm). Otherwise, live with a little bit of shabby and next time you get plastic furniture, get some which stacks and can be put away, or placed under covers or a tarp.
Best,

Don't use a power washer on sun damaged / dried plastic furniture to save a buck! (you would have thought I wouldn't have to learn that the hard way BUT I did!)
I got metal ones after that. :-/
I have used power washer with good results. Although spraying is tricky cause the power washer wants to shoot it across your patio. :)
You could try it (prop against something so the chairs or whatever you are cleaning so it doesn't fly away), but if bleach didn't clean it, I don't know if it will work.
Good luck and enjoy summer!
