M.E.
Here's a story that will make you feel better. There are still good people out there. They just don't make good news stories.

What cheers you up when you're having a hard day?
For me, little stories like this are just the pick-me-up I need:

nope because I'm part of the human race and I J. plain rule =)
I have lost faith in the following though;
~my ability to deal with those less wonderful than M.
~any place that makes you work 8 hours without a nap
~anyone that has the nerve to tell M. no, ecspecially in regards to taking a nap
~anyone who gets in the way of M. taking a nap
~my ability to find time to take a nap
boy i want to take a nap
I pray a bubble around my family. My family is wonderful. When the world gets to be too big and too scary, I turn my focus back to my little world and all is right again. A quick blessings count never hurts.
You know what cheered me up (or made me feel good) the other day? I took my daughter to AC Moore b/c she wanted to spend some of her hard earned cash. Little beknownst to me it was all in CHANGE. We get to the register and my daughter dumps it all on the counter and proceeds to count out $14.87. I kept looking back at the woman behind me and whispering "sorry!" with a little grimace. She just kept smiling at me. No eye rolling - at least while I was looking at her. The whole experience reminded me that there ARE good people in this world. Restored my faith in humanity. I think this woman understood that my daughter was spending her own money and trying hard to count it all out herself. I appreciated her "niceness"!! (although in the future, I will have DD sort it all out into dollars before we head to the store!)
Simple answer: Chocolate!
Deeper answer: Seeing my wife do great at her job which she is very passionate about. Laughing with the kids. Knowing I am doing everything I can to make those around me comfortable and happy.
I can only speak for myself, I can't get too wrapped up in what's happening outside of the little bubble we operate in, an example: Sunday night I believe it was, in 12 hours 5 people were shot and killed in Houston. All separate incidents. But really, if I were to be concerned with or dwell on that. I'd have to pull the kids out of school, build a bunker under my house and teach all immediate family member how to shoot guns for self defense.
I'm being a little dramatic but.... Some days are tougher than others.
This is my go to song when I'm having a bad day. This song is very me.

Other times it's my kids coming up to me and saying " I love you mom" or when I'm having a hard time with my daughter and she's yelling " you're the worst mom ever" and my son come to me and says " mom , Nana ( what he calls her) is wrong, I think you are the best mom in the world"
Having a hard day here...so THANK YOU for sharing this. It did make me smile!
You could say "have you lost faith in humanity?" and then put the link in the follow up.
Nice video. :)
Yeah, you have great intentions, but they tend to pull non-questions. I love pick-me ups! Just do what the moms below me suggest
Post a question and put your link in the So What Happened section....
The question could be.... "Does this make you feel better about humanity???"
It does!!! Thanks for sharing!!!
Oh no! I have not lost my faith in humanity.
In fact, my faith in humanity grows stronger by the day.
