I do it and I love it! I did lose weight, but I lost more inches than anything! It is a great and hard workout, but for only 20 minutes...it's great! I was sore, but I wasn't as bad as I thought I would be.
Good luck!
I just bought it this last weekend and from what I have read on reviews is that I am going to be hurting for a week plus with the workouts.
I had to be put on hormone pills and I immediately gained 5 lbs ontop of the 5 lbs I have slowly gained the past month plus. I want this extra 10 lbs off of me.
Any tips or advise on the exercise program?
Thanks

The first time I did this workout, I could not complete it. My legs were sore for about 3 days. I am very active (workout 1+ hours a day, 6 days a week). I am not sure how anyone does that workout several days in a row, simply because I think that the muscles need to rest a bit, and my leg muscles were TOAST after that first time. However, I tried the workout again a few days ago and it was not nearly as hard as the first time. I still could not complete all the reps, but I did not curse as much as I had the first time ;).
I would recommend the DVD. I do not generally like Jillian M. but I find her tolerable in that DVD. The workout is only 20 min long but you work quite hard during that 20 min. I believe that doing that workout a few days a week will definitely improve my endurance. I would also focus a lot on healthy eating and portion size if you are looking to lose 10 lbs. In my experience, weight loss is 90% diet.
I did a few days of it a few years ago, until I hurt my back in an un-related incident. It is great! I forgot I had it until you asked this question--will be resuming it today!
I did it over a year ago and would highly reccomend it and Jillian's entire collection. Her DVDs plus yoga have changed my life. I reccomend making sure you use proper form, even if you have to start it slower than they are doing it, proper form is key. And keep the Ben gay handy, you'll need it for your shins and lower back.
I did it one day and thought it was boring. Also, I'm in decent shape and was sore for 3 days afterwards. Not a "good hurt" but a "that was WAY too much" kind of hurt.
I love the 30 day shred. I have had the DVD for almost 2 years. I like that it is a 20 min workout, but it does kick your butt in 20 min. If you can't finish the first workout on level 1 right away, just keep at it, and you will get there.
If you find that you're sore for days after the work out, be sure you are consuming protein within 20 minutes post work out. It's been shown that the most important time to get protein when working out is right afterwards. After my work outs I down a protein drink or a protein bar with 10-20grams of protein if not more. I find that if I don't get the protein immediately after my work out I am sore for longer. If you're sore, you can still continue to work out as long as you've rested the musce for 48 hours. If it feels like some other kind of pain, stay off of it.
