My family and I are moving into our new home, in a new city 3 hrs away next week. We are excited to have a new start. And my husband I are hoping to take this new start and use it healthwise too.
We have been reading up on better health choices through a program his employer offers. While my weight is ok, my mid section is NOT. My 3rd baby stretched me out, and while I know I may never exercise it all away, I definitely want to tone my belly and widdle down my "love handles" I looked into Insanity and P90X but apparently they really arent for beginners. So we are going to get on our treadmill, and I thought about trying the 30 day shred. Anyone have good results/stories from doing this tape?
TIA!!!

30 day shred is great! Give it a try. Jillian really has a way with keeping you motivated even through a television screen. If anyone is going to get you into shape it will be Jillian. Goodluck.

I have ALL - literally all - of Jillian Michael's exercise DVD's. You do what she says and eat healthy you will see results. The 30 Day Shred was what got me hooked! For each set of exercises is one person that does modified versions and another does advanced. If you are a beginner you can start with the modified version and still get a great workout. The exercises are very short (20 minutes if I remember right) but powerful and I know the first time I did one of these workouts (there's 3 different levels to choose from) I was more sore than doing an hour long workout. I could feel a difference before I could see it but I'm glad I stuck with it. If you put your all in to it I guarantee you won't regret getting this DVD!

GOOD LUCK!!!!!

I have P90X and it in not easy. I would not rec it unless you have been excercising for yrs...and have experience using weights.

I am going to check out the tape you mentioned !

I've tried it but I didn't stick with it for a variety of reasons. When I was doing it I was seeing results and that made the torture worth it. But there were aspects of it that I was unable to do at first or I felt like I was dying. But if you want to see results and if you want to push yourself-then go for it. I would give myself a day off and then two days off and then three.....and you get the idea, and then I would go back at it again for 2 weeks and then take a break. So for me it wasn't the best thing but again I did see results.

I recommend this dvd. I have been using it for about 4 months but only about once a week, I also run and do yoga. I have been exercising 3-4 days a week, 30-45 min average during the summer, due to the kids being home all the time and just being so busy with summer activities, and I have not watched what I eat too much during the summer. So, I have not had a weight loss at all. However, just doing that 30 day shred dvd once a week, I have built my leg and arm muscles. I need to start watching what I eat, because unfortunately you really can't see my leg muscles, they are under a lil bit if fat!, but I can feel they are much stronger and my husband has notices and commented on them and my arms you can tell a difference. Anyway, if you stick with the dvd 4+ days a week and watch what you eat, I bet you will get good results. It is a challenging dvd but not TOO challenging.

I loved it! I lost inches easily with it! Check it out on YouTube...I think it's free on there...or atleast part of it is and you can try it before you buy it!

I'm so excited for you!! I have the video and really like it, but prefer her book "Making the Cut." It ABSOLUTELY works, IF you follow the program. She gives you the workouts, meal plan and all of the tools to shed those last 5-10 lbs. I did this after my youngest quit nursing and found my abs! Good luck!!

Yes. I have had good results IF you do them 4 or more times a week. Its only a 20 minute workout so you really need to do it daily to see results. After some time you may want to find a way to increase your work out time, but they are good. She knows how to make you work out hard, its not a waste of time. You will see and feel results if you are out of shape and you do them most days of the week. I think its a great idea to add 10-20 minutes of your treadmill after the video to get that extra calorie burn and cardio in.
