I am sick now with a cold or allergies not sure, im going to the doc Sat. For 3 days now I have been feeling dizzy, one time I was in the bathroom and when I looked in the mirror I felt dizzy as if the floor was moving. then 2 more times I have felt it while im at the computer. Im not sure if I have spend way too much time online and is making me feel this way. I noticed that I feel like I felt when we had an earthquake here. I have never felt like this, just now im getting this has anyone felt this way?I feel as if things are going around just like it did during the earthquake but that earthquake happened like 3 weeks ago?

What can I do next?

Yes I have had this exact same thing happen to me. It lasted off and on for about a month and then went away on it's own. The dr said it is vertigo caused by my inner ear...probably due to allergies. It was very unnerving and I was happy when it stopped happening. I could not help but worry that there was something very wrong with me.

You might have an inner ear infection. Have you had nausea too? I got a really bad case of it, could not walk, could not eat without throwing up. The doctor ended up calling in a script for meclizine but dramamine has the same medication in it.

you may have an ear infection. our equilibrium is in our inner ears, so if you have excess fluid build up or an infection it can make you feel like this. could also be vertigo, low blood sugar etc. i'd venture a guess it is most likely your ears though.

I think another lady said it, if anything is going on in your inner ear or sinuses, that throws your equilibrium off, and can cause vertigo. Take it easy :)

BTW, my husband had vertigo once, he was a wreck! It makes him sick to his stomach and he literally couldn't stand up straight... it's not something to fool with.

Feel better :)

Could you be preggers? That's how I felt when I was. :) Could also be low blood sugar or dehydration.

Inner ear info room, sinus infection or pressure can cause it. Advil cold and sinus helps me so maybe grab some to hold you over till your appointment? I hope you feel better and I think you need a antibiotic.

Could be an inner-ear disturbance, which occasionally comes on during a cold or viral infection. It may pass on its own, probably gradually over days or weeks, or it could become more troublesome. You might wish to visit websites that demonstrate or explain the Brandt-Daroff maneuvers for vertigo, just in case it becomes more problematic.

I woke up one morning about a decade ago with such severe vertigo and overwhelming nausea that I had to be taken to the hospital to be stabilized with drugs. Nastiest day of my life, but the medications did help and I was upright, if a bit dizzy, by the next day. I sincerely hope yours stays mild and fades out by itself.

My husband has benign positional vertigo (BPV) which apparently involves bits of calcium carbonate called otoliths. He got it to go away by doing some exercises that involve flinging yourself on your side, sitting up again, then repeating (fun to watch I can tell you). So if this is not related to your cold, which I suspect it might be, then ask your doctor about it. It is apparently very common.

Ear infection, vertigo, inner ear issues... try to see a Dr earlier if possible.

Could be a little bit of veritgo but not full blast vertigo...if you had full on vertigo, you'd be falling over big time. It sounds like some fluid in the inner ear which can lead to dizzyness. If you're still having trouble, you may want to try an ENT doctor, they more specialized in this & may be able to help you. Good luck!

Are you taking anything for your allergies?

It's very important to ensure that you are properly hydrated and getting enough nutrition when you're taking medications. I know it might not be easy, but eat. And drink water with every meal. Also, if you're taking the same meds for over a week and feeling this way, you might want to consider taking something different. Let yourself completely come off the meds and see if the symptoms go away.

I get like this a lot. I have a vitamin D deficiency on top of being hypoglycemic. Both things can be controlled by eating healthy, small, well balanced snacks throughout the day... and by taking a Vit D and calcium supplement, (calcium helps w vit D absorption).

It could be as simple as that. Or it could be an inner ear infection. It could also be a migraine, is your head hurting? I know some migraines can feel like vertigo.

Im voting for inner ear, probably just a build up of fluid throwing off your balance.

Sounds a bit like Vertigo..however, any type of sinus or allergy related issue can cause dizziness. I have it from time to time. What has helped me is doing the nasal irrigations at least once a day
( especially during allergy seasons. ) But, I would talk to your doctor and see what is going on first. Hope you feel better soon!

Call your doctor just so they can at least document it. Yes, this can be a symptom of a cold and allergy, but can also be part of other things.. Migraines.. etc..

Here are some things to try to get rid of them, without meds..
