I have been on Yaz for the last 2 years. i LOVE it also. But I think, from what i'm told, is that Yaz is best for certain people. as another poster mentioned, it's targeted for PMDD. I am on it because i have PCOS, which caused my hormones to be out of wack. So I do well on it because it is the same amount of hormones every day (unllike other pills that change every week) and you only have 4 sugar pills which will give shorter and lighter periods.
I don't agree with the statement made that there is no need to be on a pill for medical reasons. the NUMBER ONE treatment for PCOS is the birth control pill.
When I started Yaz, i did have a period followed by lots of break-thru bleeding which was almost like a period for a month straight. but since then, they have been only about 4 days long, and I only use a tampon for one or 2 of those days, a pantyliner the other.
