Someone requested information about getting her hardwood floor to shine. I also have a very dull floor from Chelsea Plank that is impossible to clean let alone getting any kind of sheen. What was the name of the cleaner that was recommended?

Our cleaning gal cleans with vinegar and water...everything shines. Our wood floors look great after they are cleaned.

Hi J.. We use the Bona system on our hard wood floors and they looks great. It took about 3 application before we really noiced the dullness & smudging gone.

I don't know what type of cleaner was recommended, but please be careful what you use. If your floor has a dull finish on it, a cleaner won't add shine. Remember that your child rolls on the floor and your darling pets walk on it, so use something non- chemical. Chemicals are absorbed through our skin and can harm people and pets. Shaklee makes a great nontoxic cleaner called BasicH that cleans everything from windows to heavy duty degreasing, and it is all safe and plant based. Many people use it to clean wood floors, too, just use a little. If you don't know a Shaklee rep., you are welcome to visit my Mamasource business, M. Goes Green! Take care.

Your probably going to have to refinish your floors and put some sort of polyerthain (spelling?) on them. Upkeep will be a lot easier after they are done. Good luck - S.
