I was wondering if there is anyone out there that might have active ingredients, or a certain product/products that are sure to work and regrow hair. After I had my two children, my hair practically stopped growing. It used to be thicker and grow long pretty quickly. Now it doesn't seem to grow at all! Any help would be great. Would getting back on prenatal pills helP??

M.,

Sorry, you need to see a doctor.

You need to have a full blood work up done to find out if your thyroid is working right. You should ask for a CBC, TBIC and hormone level check with the blood tests.

A CBC is a Complete Blood Count
TIBC is Total Iron Binding Capacity

Depending what they find - they may do a scalp biopsy. This will help determine the reason for the hair loss.

My girlfriend went through this after her kids were born. It ended up that she was not getting enough iron - the right iron - and it was causing her to lose her hair.

Have you had your thyroid checked? That can stop hair growth, and pregnancy can mess it up.

Having your thyroid checked would be a good idea.
What helps me grow my hair a bit faster sometimes is:

1 tablespoon of black strap molasses per day (sulfur source)
1 teaspoon of FOOD GRADE diatomaceous earth per day (stir it into water or juice and drink it down) (silica source)
1 Biotin supplement per day

This increases my growth rate to about an inch per month (instead of 1/2 inch per month).(Nails will grow quickly too.)
But the hair will grow faster everywhere - legs, underarms, eyebrows, etc.

Stress can also make your hair fall out and not getting at least 30 grams of fat in your diet can cause these issues. There is a vitamin supplement for 'Hair, Skin and Nails" ,(Walmart carries it ) that also has Biotin in it and has helped my hair tremendously ! C. S.

I take biotin daily, and have noticed that my hair and nails are healthier. My hair doesn't necessarily grow faster, but it definitely looks nicer. My nails are a lot stronger, and they definitely grow faster.

Eating things with gelatin helps too... Bone broths are especially good. :)

Try taking a multi vitamin. I recently started taking one again and have noticed that my hair seems thicker and healthier, it's definitely growing faster as well.
