Hi Mommas!!
... I'd rather spend the money on some kids stuff than the salon-- that and the long hours is NOT for me! Well I got my hair highlighted this summer and it's dried my hair big time-- My hair is naturally curly and the curls are not, well, curling! What products to you ladies w/ curly hair use??

I use lancombe for foundation and clean and clear for face wash-- i have oily skin.. but lately I have been breaking out (I also use ortho try cyclin birth control) -- what products do you ladies use??

I have straight hair so no help there, but I use Mary Kay Timewise everyday and I never have breakouts.

It is pricey but use Morocan Oil products. They have one for curly hair. Does wonders and should help put moisture and shine back into your hair!

I use BareMinerals loose powder foundation and the mineral veil on top to help with moisture plus use make-up blotters to dab here and there. To wash my face Timewise combination skin in the summer and Normal for the fall/winter.

Somewhere, somehow, after I had my daughter (18 years) ago - I ended up with kinky / curly hair. We're talking root to end (it was barely wavey my whole life), huge, gorgeous curls. It took many years to figure out what works best and what I have found is Fruictis Anit-Humidity Smoothing Milk. This stuff is like GOLD to my hair! I buy it 3-4 bottles at a time...I never want to run out! When I'm done showering, I flip my head over (still soaking wet hair) and slather this stuff throughout. Then I DON'T touch my hair for about 2-3 hours (yes, I get up at 4am to shower in case I have an early meeting). When it's dry, I just "fluff" it our with my fingertips...But only at the roots. I know it sounds like a lot of work and I'm pretty sure I'm looking like a lunatic...But seriously, I get so many compliments on my hair and I've had to tell how I do my hair a zillion times for friends and family trying to get the look I get.
I'm sorry I can't help with the skin stuff - After I had my 2nd daughter, again - some weird hormone surge and my skin isn't oily or dry and I rarely (if ever) do I get a pimple.

I tend to use natural homemade products on my skin and hair. So yogurt, honey, avocado, mayonnaise and/or olive oil are all great for the hair for different reasons. Honey and plain yogurt are great conditioners.

I went to www.healthybeautyproject.com and found Alaffia (a raw shea butter based product company) and now I'm in love with their hair care line. I will be trying their skin care line shortly.

Also Kinky Curly Curling Custard is great for curly hair but it was necessarily good for my type of curly hair and you can find that in Whole Foods. It is pricey though.

For face washing I use black soap but generally just splash my face clear with just plain water. I don't really wear makeup so I don't really do much there. I do drink loads of water starting with 1.5L of water first thing in the morning. That seems to get everything flowing and going. I have found tons of healthy product options along the way from the sight I gave you. I actually like and enjoy using witch hazel as a toner for my oily skin.

I'm a hairstylist. I would recommend Sebastien no 9. Wonderful, conditioning cream, perfect for curly hair as well.

As far as your hair, I'd say try carols daughter hair milk-- it's all natural and smells and works great on mybdaughters curls. As far as skin-- Mary Kay time wise is great as well as the acne/blemish treatment. I use and sell the products, and think they are great!

Go to coliryan.com and check out the fixx line (hair), motives (make-up) and either cell labs or vita shield for skin care. Some of my favorite products are from this line. The Fixx no frizz is AMAZING!

I found alot of the acne stuff made my face break out more due to clogged pores. Try the nuetragena stuff. As for the Hair try using Redkin products.

I have oily skin and used clean and clear (orange, morning burst?) and over about 3 months I started getting wrinkles! So, be careful with that one. It dries away too much oil. Sounds like you need a good conditioner for your hair. The best ones come in the box with the home hair color. It's worth the $7 even if you through away the color?
