Can your mom or anyone take sometime off to take care of you and the baby while you recover. Do you have a church you go to? Maybe some members could come by and help with things for a few weeks. I would be happy to bring you a meal and help you clean up one day if you need. My sister is a single mom so I don't have all the answers but I know you need a support system and you need help. You can't do it all by yourself. Try to surround yourself with family or friends who can help you here or there. Also find a good drop in day care and don't feel guilty about leaving your children there a couple hours here and there to get a little break and some down time. Hope that helps. I am sorry and I don't know how single parents do it either! I know a lot of really great ones though.
Hi N., I am a mommy to 3 girls aged 12,15,16 and I'm 33 yrs old. I was a teen mom and a single mom for many years. I too went straight from living at home to having babies, I had never been on my own either. I want to encourage you..somehow we women find the strength to move forward and do the best we can do for our babies. Yes it will be a lot of work but I hope you don't feel I am preaching to you...I am not. I will just share what got me through. Quite frankly and honestly. It was God. Since before I even left my ex husband I prayed. Everyday and all the time. I prayed that God would help me and protect my girls. I prayed that He would make a way when sometimes there seemed no way. When I was with my ex we were paycheck to paycheck and I knew I couldn't make ends meet with just one income (he never payed child support) but God made a way. I was always able to pay my bills, provide for my girls, and eventually even bought a townhome by myself. I raised my girls going to sunday school and made good supportive friends at church. I had my mom help me pick up my girls during emergencies or if I couldn't get out of work on time etc. Just take it day by day. Honestly looking back I don't know how I did it...I see some moms struggle with just 1 baby but not it is all sooooo worth it. I couldn't have sweeter, nicer, well behaved young ladies. They are my pride and joy. We are soooo close and I wouldn't want it any other way. Girlfriend you are not alone. Others have gone through what you are going through and you will be fine. Sometimes life throws us some curveballs . I never thought I would be a single mom but it happened. Now I am married to my second husband. I adore him. He adores me and my girls. He is my very best friend and we get along so great. Everyday is a joy with him. God can make beauty out of ashes. Just remember that. I am living proof. You can write to me any time.
They look cute but they are not pets. They will not live long.
