Hello everyone. My son is 5 1/2 months old (22 weeks). When he was born he would have growth spurts it seems on all even weeks. It was easy to detect because he would cluster feed and become clingy. This past week he has been extremely cranky, clingy, and not wanting to sleep by himself at night...sleeps like a champ during the day usually. So, my question is, when do kids at his age usually have growth spurts? Thanks for any advice in advance.

Hi M.,
Your son will go thru a growth spurt right around 6 months and again around 9 months or so. If he is like my daughter, he will get a "Buddah Belly" and chipmunk cheeks about a week or two before the growth spurt.

M.,

Babies usually have a growth spurt at about 6mths so he might very well be hitting his now. Give him a week or two and he will be back to normal.
