Gosh Darn Zits

I am 36 and I still get stinkin zits. I get those nasty pus filled white head things that are right in the middle of my face or under my nose for everyone to see. Today I have a nasty one that hurts and I'm not touching it. I tried to pop it with a very hot wash cloth with no luck. I have tried to squeeze it free with no success. I use Burts Bees Acne wash which helps a little. I try not to make direct eye contact because no one wants to see that.

What do you all do to get rid of zits.

What can I do next?

I like Trina P use BeautiControl's skincare system and they also have a product that targets specific breakouts that I use as I too am in my thirties and will get zits periodically still but using the spot treatment clears up the ones that the skincare doesn't prevent and it clears them up quickly......within a day or 2 they are gone without having to pop them and leave behind any scarring. I am a consultant for BeautiControl and would be happy to chat with you more if you would like you can contact me here for more info.

Maybe what has helped me will help you...
I was watching the Doctors about a month ago and they were talking about skin. And despite the fact that I HATE that show, I took their advice. ;)

They were talking about using those spinning deep cleaning brushes. Well, I have no money to go buy one of those but I do have a face brush.

Oh and FTR I have had to use Proactiv for years. Doesn't completely keep them at bay, but when I didn't use it I had breakouts everyday.
I also use a different soap to take my make-up off at night...
A gentle, therapeutic type soap (this one): http://organixsouth.com/theraneem/neem-soaps/facial-compl...

Ok, are ya' w/ me? I started washing my face w/ the soft bristle face brush at least once a day, taking care to really work my problem areas (mostly my chin) and saw dramatic results. I have STOPPED using dumb ol' Proactiv!!!

I am still amazed. I have only had a handful (count them on one hand!) of tiny little zits since I started this routine. Normally I would have had numerous whoppers.

HTH! Try it! :)

I have had trouble ever since having children. After my first I went to the dermatolotist and had sucess but stopped when we started trying for the second. After the second, my zits were back so I started trying everything as I did not want to pay to go to the dermatologist after insurance changes make the cost about double. I was up late one night and saw an infomercial for Murad and I have fallen in love. I still get zits during those special times of the month but they are few and far between. Worth a try!

This is an organic remedy. Put uncooked honey on the zits for a couple of hours and the honey will eat them up.
They are occuring on your fertility line in acupuncture at the place where your level of fertility shows up. Check whether your birth control is to blame or you have some other organic problem in your reproductive line.

31 yr old zit-maker here. The easy ones, I pop. the hard ones, my husband will pop or somtimes he has to use a needle. To try to prevent them, I use the 'regimen' at acne.org -- wash, use benzoyle proxide (2.5%) daily, then moisturize.

I feel for ya, girl. I'm right there with ya. Mine are almost always right on my chin screaming "HELLO! HI THERE!"

To dry up a zit, I use toothpaste on it before I go to bed. Try to just get the paste directly on the pus part as it will dry out the surrounding skin as well, but this usually works after one or two nights for me.

I am 35 and still have acne. I use Proactiv and I love it! I have been using it since about 2004. I still get little ones every so often but they don't stick around very long. At first I was buying it on Ebay from people but then I figured I might as well sign up for it. It gets delivered every eight weeks so every other month I pay $45.

I use Mary Kay's Acne Treatment Gel. It's only $7 and it really gets rid of those darn big, painful ones quickly.

My daughter had a problem with hormonal zits and someone told me to give her Saw Palmetto. She takes it everyday and has very few breakouts, and she is a teenager. Try around 400 mg a day.

Have you gone to the dermatologist? I did Accutane and it was like a miracle. Yeah, it's a pretty hard-core medication, but I figured, I'm in my 30's and I refuse to have zits and wrinkles at the same time! Anyhow, 6 months of Accutane, and my skin is beautiful and smooth now (and is likely to remain so for 10+ years). Life is too short to look in the mirror and cringe at what you see, hoping and praying your skin will clear up - if it hasn't by now, it's not going to! Go to the dermatologist!

34 here and I have tried everything. Only stuff that has worked is Tea Tree Oil! Stinks all to crazyiness but in two months my face has cleaned right up. I have spent almost 7 years and hundreds if not a thousand dollars on anything and everything. Even took medication for a year and no change until Tea Tree Oil.

I have struggled with acne all of my life, and a couple years ago I started using BeautiControl SkinLogics facial scrub & cleansing foam products to clean my face at night & in the morning, and I have been amazed at the difference. I also use an arbonne international night cream that helps my skin recover overnight - love both products, and have been very happy with the way my skin has been doing! the products can be pricey, but i rarely spend money on myself, and my self-esteem is totally worth it - the company's websites are beauticontrol.com & arbonne.com - you can also usually find someone in your area that sells their products - generally if you pay $25 a year, you can get a 40% discount on the products, which is a huge savings - the companies are very much like mary kay, where local women market the products, have parties, etc.

good luck!
