Good Nursing Bras? - McKinney,TX

I am in need of a few good nursing bras. The ones that I had with my first child were terrible, had no support and were just down right itchy! I really don't want to pay $50 or $60 for them as that's what I pay for my regular bras. I am quite well endowed and need a nursing bra that is bigger in cup size (DD/DDD) but comes in normal band sizes (34/36). I have read that underwires are not optimal for nursing, so I would like to get something that doesn't have an underwire, if possible. Also, I am due to deliver in just a couple of weeks so I would like to go to a store and buy them, not deal with shipping and possibly having to send them back if I don't like them. Thanks so much for your help!

A Mother's Gift is a shop within Presby Plano. The ladies are very helpful with fitting you, and they carry quality bras. I remember the prices being like the cost of a regular bra - perhaps a bit less, but there is much to be said for comfort and support...Especially when you are nursing!

Hi! I love the Medela bras. They are wonderful and only about 30-40 dollars. I found out that they not only sell them at your local hospital's breastfeeding support center, but also at Gap Body and Motherhood/Mimi stores. I normally wear a 32dd but while nursing I'm in a 36E (DD)...they have DDD too and 34's. So they should have what you are looking for! Here's the link to the bra I use:

Also: They sell both underwire and softcup...I use the softcup too because I hear underwire isn't good while nursing. I also love the shoulder straps (very comfy) and the back closure (4 hooks...not wimpy at all!). Good luck and congrats on the lil girl! I have a 3 yr old boy and a 6 week old girl!

I'll second Lexi! I LOVE a Mother's Gift at presby Plano. Those ladies there are fantastic!! They carry a huge variety of styles and sizes. They are really helpful and so nice. Expect to pay about $40-$50 depending on the brand. But it's well worth it and they last a very long time.

A Mother's Gift is a MUST!! Plus if you are delivering there you get a 10% discount with your purchases even after delivery on bras ( I think this is the only item). Congrats on your little girl.
