Good Night Time Diaper NEEDED

I only use LUVS with my son. I have tried every single brand and they leaked, except for LUVS. Give them a try!

you can try using a cloth diaper inside for extra absorbancy, or if you can find some rubber pants to put over them. Going up a size in diapers maybe needed too.

We were having the same problem with my now 11 month old son. I started using a product I found in the diaper area of Stop & Shop. Ibelieve they are called diaper Doublers. They are inserts you put in the diaper, they actaully look like maxi pads. they are very inexpensive, around $3.00 for a 30 count package. They have worked great.

I use Huggies Overnights. With my 2 kids, if they started leaking at night, it was because they needed the next size up. I switched them and no more leaks. I have a friend who routinely had to double diaper her son every night (the one on the outside would be the next size up).

Hi S., Have you tried Nature Babycare diapers? We switched to these from Seventh Generation because of frequent poop leak-throughs and I've been really happy with them -- and they're as eco-friendly as a one-time-use diaper can be -- compostable packaging, biodegradable, small, mom-started company. I buy them in bulk at diapers.com.

Huggies overnights here too, but they are hard to find in my area, so if we do not have any we just hope for the best. The larger size worked also. Good luck.

I had the same problem when my daughter was that age. I tried Pampers and Huggies and when she was in them for a long period of time, they leaked. Beleive it or no but I actually switched to Luvs, and they are great! Hardly had a leak with them, mayb once or twice but nothing compared to what I was experiencing with the other brands. Try them out. Good Luck and let us know which ones worked!

Huggies Overnites are great. I loved them but my boys outgrew them. They only make them up to size five and my boys are in a six now. I need to find something else for at night.

I hope this doesn't sound rude, but when my son was a baby we had the same problem with leaking all the time and worse at night. Having a girl the first time around, seems everyone in my life failed to tell me when my son was born that when you change them (meaning BOYS) you should point their " boy parts " down. That way they are not spraying up their fronts when laying down. Would have been nice to know sooner. Worked for us, may be worth a try.
P.S. We used Pampers during the night and Sam's club Member's mark store brand during the day. They are soooo much cheaper than the name brand.Good luck.

Have you tried going up a size? I noticed that when my daughter was in between sizes based on what the diaper package says that she leaked through the smaller size but was fine when we went up to the bigger size.

Pampers in my opinion are probably the best diapers out there. I tried Luv's and they're OK, but they are no pampers. I had the same problem with my daughter not too long ago and someone said instead of changing them just move her up a size and I did and the leaks stopped. So before trying to find a new diaper brand you might wanna give that a try. He may just be outgrowing the diaper size.

I have found that the Huggies Overnights work great. We usually use one size bigger then the daytime diaper size.

I haven't read the other responses so I don't know if someone already suggested these to you but Huggies Overnights are the BEST! I have 13 month old twin girls and they have NEVER had a leak ... and we started using them when the girls were 4 months old. You can order them from diapers.com. Hope this helps!

I started using Luvs - buying them in bulk in BJ's and i have no problems...and they never ever leak!!

I use a Diaper Doubler in the any kind of diaper for my son. The are at Babies R Us. Three bucks for 30 of them.

I would try GOODNIGHTS, Night Time Pull Ups or Night Time Huggies.
We use the GOODNIGHTS they WORK GREAT!

We just used the next size up diapers at night (either huggies or pampers) and then we didn't have leaks anymore. Just a thought!

to be honest with you I was a cloth diaper Mom and so no help here.

Hi there. Have you tried Huggies, they have a specific night time diaper for his age range. I was having a hard time with that too for a while and then he just stopped leaking, so hopefully it is a bit of a phase. My only other suggestion is to try figuring out his sleep cycles a little. Then, when you think he is in a deep sleep cycle, try changing his diaper without waking him (in his crib). I know it sounds crazy and a little risky (who wants to wake up a sleeping baby after he has gone down for the night), but I have been doing it since my son was about 3 months old and only been caught once (meaning he woke up and had to be cuddled back to sleep) and he is not typically a heavy sleeper (I am guilty of tip toeing around during his naps). You just have to time it right. I think I use to go in about an hour and a half after he had gone to sleep and feel his diaper. If it was super full (which it usually was) I would see if he would object at all if I touched his foot or re-positioned him. Then I would just do it, as quickly as possible, by putting the clean diaper open and under him first, then slipping the wet one off. A friend of mine tried it successfully a couple of times as well. Hi. There is nothing worse than a baby waking up soaked! Yuck! I use Huggies Overnightes for my 2 year old daughter. I put the overnight diaper on and then put a regular diaper over that one. This works most of the time. Occassionally we have a little leak but for the most part it has been great. Good luck.

Not sure if you know it - but you need to point "it" down, especially at night. They do sell diaper inserts - it's kind of like a sanitary napkin - I used them for my daughter at one point - because I gave her too much milk. See if you can put some cereal in his bottle. Just a little bit - maybe to fill him up on that instead of the formula.

My son use to pee through every night. It drove me nuts. Huggies makes a night time diaper that works great. Also, I noticed that when my son started to outgrow the size diapers he was in, he'd pee through them. Try the next size up.

I went through this with my oldest when he was about 1 year old or so. I just had to try different diapers but eventually found the Pampers Premiums (not the Pampers Baby Dry) to be the only ones that didn't leak. I know they are on the pricier end but I figured what I was spending in multiple changes a night more than made up for the cost.

I found Pampers Swaddlers and Cruisers to be the best. Your son may just need a larger size at night in order to hold all of the liquid. Good luck!

I've been using Huggies Overnites and they've been working great.

It seem like a simple fix but use the next size up diaper at night. If he's in a 3, buy a 4 for night. It always worked for me.

Hi, Shelly. We've been using Huggies Overnights on our daughter and they work beautifully. She's had some VERY full diapers, and rarely does anything leak through.

We have had to use Diaper Doublers. I found them at Stop and Shop. You just add the extra layer to any diaper you like.

We use Huggies overnites. We like them. We still get leaks once in a while, but less than any other diaper we've tried. Sometimes you need to go up a size when there's a lot of leakage. We've also tried giving my daughter a little less to drink before we put her to bed....big difference!!!!

I always used the diapers made by Costco (Kirkland). Try buying one size up for night time use only.

Our daughter also soaked through her diapers a lot. We finally began using Huggies Overnites. They feel bulkier even when you first unfold one. They did the trick.
Not sure how small they come, though. We didn't need them until 18-months or so.

i have the same problem. i either have to go to sleep between 12 and 1 or wake up in the middle of the night, but i put her in goodnights. they're a little big on her, so they hold a little more then the diapers. and they have them in little boxer shorts types (i prefer just the diaper,but they work just as well...just harder to change while their sleeping). try those, maybe they'll help you out. but some advice, it's a much cheaper to buy in bj's or cosco, or some place like that.

Hi S., I use Luvs & Huggies all the time with good success. Like you I've Had various problems with other brands, but have found that I prefer huggies they seam to fit my 16 month old nicely, but I will also use luvs. Also I found that with some store brands and some of the lesser known brands, that the tabs weather velcro or sticky do not always stick properly. This was were I had problems with diapers, with a few leaks just for good measure:).

we use huggies night-time diapers....they work really well and arent that bad price wise @ walmart they were like $18 and change for a super big pack and they are like $9.99 at stop and shop....its worth a try...

We use Seventh Gen (and Pampers at Night)...try going up a size. I've noticed that the weight ranges aren't always the best way to "fit" diapers. Also, you may want to limit how much your son is drinking right before bedtime. We were having lots of leakage so we went up a diaper size and dropped his 4 oz feeding to 2oz. (of course, he was a bit older so that might not be an option for you)

I had this problem all the time and tried several diapers. Honestly, the best night time diapers that I found were huggies overnights - we hardly never have a leak since I started using these at night and we used to have leaks every night.

Try the Huggies Overnights They worked great for both of my girls when they were new. And now we use Luvs for our youngest (15 months) they don't leak at all. Hope that helps!

We use Huggies night time and I really like them. My guy drinks a lot so I still change him once in the middle of the night (if he wakes up) but they really do the job well. The are also good for long car rides & when you are going to be out for a long period of time with no where to do a diaper change. They are not always easy to find but I have found them at CVS, Walmart & 1800diapers.

When my daughter was little, she used to pee through everything every night. A friend reccommended Pathmark's Diaper Doublers. The are like a sanitary pad that you put in the diaper that makes it more absorbent. They were a sheet-saver! This is going back some years, so they might not have them anymore. Hopefully they do.

My guy slept 12+ hours from about 5 months and leaks have been a nightmare! At first going up a size would work for a bit but if you try to go up too many sizes, the diaps are too big and leak anyways. When we couldn't go any bigger we tryed the nighttime diaper, the doublers, double diapering, pullup over diaper...everything and it would maybe work 2 or 3 nights a week.
So at 14 months we tried cloth (Drybees fleece overnight pocket) which you can add as much layers to as needed. After a few nights of experimenting with the right combo, we have been leakfree for 3 months! I was so thrilled and lked them so much (way way easier then I ever thought cloth would be) we have gone full time cloth pocket diapers. I wish someone would have told me about cloth earlier!

I don't have any experiencde with Tendercare.
You could try using the next size up, which may keep your son dry. Also they used to sell doublers that you could add to your diaper at nite, not sure if the grocery stores still have them.

Other thing you could try is cloth at nite. A pocket diaper with a microfiber and hemp insert will keep your son dry for 12 hours. Also cheaper in the long run! My DD is 2.5 and is never soaked through in the morning. She goes to bed at 8 and is up at 8 the next day. Good Luck!

the best diapers I have found at night are the Huggies Overnights. They come in a purple package and are super absorbant.

We started out w/ Pampers Swaddlers for our daughter, and then tried Huggies Supreme, Huggies Overnights, Pamper's Baby Dry, and finally Pampers Cruisers. Pampers Cruisers are by far the most successful so far. She sometimes leaks now, but in comparison to having soak throughs every night, we have maybe one leak every week or so. Good luck!!

I had a similar issue where my son would wet through his diaper during the night. I tried something, don't know if it will work for you, but I went up a size in diaper. That way, it was a little bit bigger, and came up higher in the back and above the belly button. This helped me, but figured I'd see if it will work for you. I also switched from Pampers to Luvs, and I haven't had a problem. (I started off with Pampers swaddlers, then went to cruisers, and then to Luvs). Haven't tried Tender Care diapers. Hope this helps! My son is now 13 months old. He is in a size 4 - so I would say yours is in a size 3? Best of luck to keep him dry!

Yes, I've tried TenderCare and the closures are AWFUL!! It's like really heavy thick sticky tape that holds the diaper closed then when you try and take them off they stick on your babys' skin.

We use 7th gen, during the day but also have trouble with leaking at night. Tried Target brand and they seem to be ok at night...so far.

You might want to think about getting a wool diaper cover. They are super absorbant but they breathe.

Hi S.! We use pampers as well...when my baby girl started waking up wet all over her belly and chest (she loves to sleep on her tummy) we took her up to the next size diaper and the leaking stopped. The diapers have a weight that is the same for both sizes such as size 2 being for 11-20 pounds (don't know exact weight this is just an example) and size 3 being 16-28 pounds.

Are you using Pampers Baby Dry? I use these at night for my son and have had a lot of great success.

I do have one other thought though... My son (who is now 21 months) went through a period of time were he woke up wet every morning no matter what I did. I couldn't figure it out, but one day I thought maybe it was because he was too warm at night. We let our heat drop down to 63 at night and I was putting him to sleep in a onesie, pajamas, and a blanket sleeper (he refuses to use an actual blanket). So, one night I put him to bed in just the onesie and blanket sleeper and he woke up with no leaks. I've did this every night from then on and he's been dry ever since. Sometimes with this wacky weather I just put him in the blanket sleeper because if it's too warm out and he's dressed to warmly he wakes up wet. I know this sounds weird, but it worked for me. The only possible reason I can come up with is that because he was so warm he stayed in one position most of the night which lead to leaks. My mother in law claims that when babies are too hot they pee more, but I don't know how much truth there is to that. But, at the end of the day I don't care why it worked I'm just happy it did. :)

I have found that boys do leak more at night and one of the diapers that has worked well for us has been Huggies Supreme(not the regular). The other thing that works sometimes is to put the diaper on backwards-may seem strange but it does work!

I am not sure what is happening, but we use both pampers and huggies, and have never had a problem. I changer her at 9pm and she's good until sje wakes up. I have never had to change the sheets, or her. Make sure the velcro is tight and the right size. Hope that helps.

Huggies Night Time diapers literally saved us!

Sounds like a familiar story. I use something called, Diaper Doublers. They are extremely hard to find. I have never seen them in any of the baby stores. You can find them in Stop and Shop( hope you have one of these) Or try your local grocery sotre. They look like long stayfree pads. On nights when we have run out, I actually put a stayfree pad in the diaper and it works just as well. So if you can't find them, try a stayfree- super absorbent!

I'm not sure how old your son or daughter is but this would be my advice. Try to give him/her less fluids before bedtime. My son didn't start leaking through until he was around 2 years old. He used to have some milk in a cup before bed while we read him a story. Once he started wetting through in the morning we just got rid of the milk at night. Sometimes he'll ask for a little water but we just give him a small cup (like a dixie cup) and it is usually enough. If he doesn't get on the potty first thing in the morning he can still wet through at times but it's much better.
If you are talking about a baby as opposed to a toddler and are still using a bottle at night, maybe you can try to give the bottle a little earlier?

I have used Huggies on both of my kids and they work well, both of them were great sleepers too, slept through the night early on. I didn't have any problems with the Huggies. I do find though if they aren't the right size, they leak more. Even if the box says they are for up to 35lbs or whatever, you may want to try the next size up, my 18mo old is 25lbs and he is in the size 5 now and the size 4 are supposed to be up to 30-35lbs. I have used Pampers also and haven't had any problems with leaks.

I use the White Cloud diapers. You can only buy them at Walmart, and they are a great price. Especially since I have 2 in diapers. We only rarely have leaks. First thing is that if your baby wakes up during the night, make sure you change his diaper. Before he goes to bed, change his diaper. Even if he only peed in it once, change it. Also, no one mentioned this...fold down the top part of the diaper. Not the padded part, just the extra plastic at the top. That will help direct the pee back down to the diaper. And make sure the diaper is on good and snug. You should only be able to squeeze 2 of your fingers into the waste once it's fastened. Good luck!

Out of my 5 children, my youngest (who is now almost 2) seemed to drink so much; especially with her bedtime bottle. We tried pampers, Mother Ease cloth diapers over a Pamper diaper and she was still waking up soaking wet every morning. We switched to Huggies Overnight diapers and they work GREAT! She wakes up every morning with a VERY FULL diaper. but is 99% dry most of the time!
