So... My husband and I finally are getting a chance to go away from work and the grandparents are taking the kiddos. This is a once a year thing for us and I would like to go somewhere where we can find lots of stuff to do in a weekend or three day weekend... not a long drive though. Just away from Dallas. Fredericksburg is a quaint fun place to go.... as is most anywhere in the hill country.... Jefferson on Caddo Lake is beautiful as well if you like to go out canoing. ... Those are my two two favorite destinations in Texas.... if you like the outdoors, I'd highly suggest Beavers Bend, Oklahoma.. BEAUTIFUL up there...
I love Fredricksburg. Good food and live music on weekend nights. They have some nice bed and breakfast.
