why not buy one of those inflatable ones that has little disposable bags that you can just tie up...
We are planning a trip for the 4th of July to a lake house with lots of outdoor/water activities. My daughter is 2 and a half and completely potty trained. She asks to get out of the bath if she needs to potty and gets very upset until you get her to the toilet. I am wondering if anyone has advice on how to teach a 2 year old girl how to "squat" behind a tree or other creative advice since I know she will not go in the lake. Besides this is not a behavior I want to begin advocating so that she begins to believe it is okay to go in the pool or bath! Bringing a bulky portable is just not going to be a possiblity this time but we could pull the boat ashore. any advice appreciated.

Hi R., I just bought for my son a "On the go potty - Travel potty chair", for just $9.95 throught pottytrainingconcepts.com.
It comes with 3 chair liners (a little bag that has a pad inside so its easy to dispose after use) and you can order additional as you need.
I LOVE IT!!! My son is NOT completely potty trained yet, and everytime I ask him to go there, he will. It is easy and mess-free.
And the best of all, it is really small! I keep mine on the little net behind my seat in the car.
You should check it out!

What about taking a training potty with you. This way she will have a potty to go on, and it will not confuse her about where to go potty once you are back home. Then all you have to do is dump it somewhere out there, plus it could eliminate some of the stops on the way to the lake house.
Have Fun!
I saw that "on the go" potty chair that other lady posted at Babies R US for the same price $9.95. It really is teeny tiny. It wouldn't be a hassle to drag around and it would probably be alot easier to show her that then to explain squatting....
