I have been a sahm for over a year now. I am starting a new job on monday and I am almost 11 weeks pregnant. When would be a good time to tell my employer that I am pregnant? The job is in a medical facility doing customer service. I really want the job but I don't want them to think I can't do it because I am pregnant. So if anyone could let me know when the best time to tell them I am preggo is, please let me know........ Thank you so much.

What can I do next?

I went with my gut and told my supervisor the morning of the 22nd when i started! She was fine with it, she said that i wasnt the first to go thru it either!! That made me feel comfortable!! If i were you id let them know fromday one! I wouldnt let it go too long!! Thats just my opinion but i hope it helps!!

Hey,

Have you ever considered becoming an Independent Consultant for Arbonne. You could still stay at home with your daughter and earn a supplemental income while doing it. I began my Arbonne business just a few months ago and am having an amazing time meeting other people and building a home based business to boot.

Check out my site www.abriggs.myarbonne.com.

My number is on the site please feel free to call or email me with questions.

The compensation plan is amazing.

I believe it is against the law to fire or release an individual due to pregnancy, they aren't even supposed to ask you if you are pregnant. I would just tell them so you don't have to keep worrying about it.

If they let you go, find a lawyer and file a compliant with the EEOC.

Hi C.,

Congrats on your latest precious gift. I'm not sure what position you will hold at your upcoming job but having been pregnant at a medical facility myself I know that anything can happen at anytime and it's best to be honest upfront. I know that it's scary to tell them now but since they already hired you, they must feel that you are the best person for the job - just remind them that that remains true and inform them of your plans for after the baby is born, this way they see that you are not only honest but prepared with a plan that won't leave them high and dry. Good Luck & God Bless.

I was in a simmilar situation almost 3 years ago. I was pregnant with my third. At the time I was living in a battered womens shelter and only had 3 months to get a job and get on my feet. I was petrified to tell anyone that I was pregnant! I was afraid that noone would hire someone when they knew that in time they would be out for over a month. I waited until after I had been on the job for about 3 months, so that they could see that I was guite able to do the job before I told them. This was just my way of doing it but maybe it will help.

Good luck and Congrats on the new little one!
