Gnld's Suppliments for Allergies

My 5 yr old has some allegies (not sure what) and coughes at night and in the mornings. (He was tested for bunch of allergens such as cats, dogs, dust mites, but it was negative except for Penuts.) His pediatrician prescribed anti-histamine which works, but then when he stops taking the medicine, the cough comes back. Our clearning lady suggested to take GNLD's suppliments (Vita-Gard or Vita-Square) claiming that it works for her allegies.
I searched online, but the only info that I found was their distributers' websites. Anyone ever heard of it? Does it work? I'm a bit specticle because you can only purchase the products through a distributer (our cleaning lady is one too).

Alternative is to just keep giving him anti-histamine (which Doctor said ok to do) but not sure about keep medicating him.

Thanks!

So What Happened?

Thank you so much for your answers, ladies!!! Truly appreciate it. I looked at the Juice Plus and found that GNLD's tablets are very similart to those and a little cheaper. I'm still skeptical, but I'll try it for a month and see what happens.
As for the local honey, where do I get it? Whole Foods? I guess I'll do a search. Also, I'll talk to discuss other options with my doctors (previously he never suggested anything other than taking medicine and clearn the house)

Hi E.! I have no experience with GNLD's supplements, but we use raw local honey (1 tsp. per day) for my son's seasonal pollen allergies. It works! I was very skeptical at first, but figured it was cheaper than supplements.
I hope you find something that works!

You sound concerned about him being on constant medication. Why don't you take steps to have him accessed for "what" allergies instead of trying to fix it. I would start with dust mite elimination since it seems to be a bedroom issue.
Keep his room cool, low humidity, good ventilation.
Cover his pillow and mattress with allergen preventing covers. JCP has nice soft/ not plasticy kind.
No animals in the room, air purifier
no strong chemicals to wash bedding
wash bedding in hot once per week
wash up before bed
hard wood floors if possible (instead of carpet)

My wife and I use GNLD products. They are great and very safe. We are about to introduce our 6 months old to Liqui-Vite(Liquid multivitamin for children with Tre-en-en® Grain Concentrates), after his 9th month doctors appointment.

Hi E.,

I'm not here to "sell" you on anything either but I would love to share some info on Juice Plus+ with you. All it is 17 servings of RAW fruits and veggies in a capsule or chewie form. What is does is helps protect your DNA at a cellular level which helps improve your immune system. My family has been on it since Dec 2010 and neither my or my 4 year old son's allergies even affected us this year. We all feel healthier and better. There are 18 studies that have been done on Juice Plus+ which you can find at www.jillwheatonjuiceplus.com. Children age 4-26 can get Juice Plus for free with a sponsoring adult for 3 years. It's not a vitamin, it's not a supplement, it's food. It bridges the gap between what you do eat and what you should eat.

I have never heard of GNLD but I would ask if it's FDA approved and if there is any clinic research done.

J.

I agree with Jay D. I would want to know what he was allergic to. You might be able to help his symptoms by changing his environment. I would be suspicious that the cause is mostly in his bedroom. It is possible to greatly reduce dust mites in his room.

Hi E.,

It is always better to be proactive and not reactive. Having a better environment is the start. Check on alkaline water, air and good nutrition. Some of the companies out there have better products then the stores that is why there are distributors out there to connect you to the companies so you can also get a discount. If you would like to promote a healthier environment in your home you may email me and I will give you some ideas.

Have a great day.

Never heard of the supplements. Check out NAET, - All natural allergy elimination techniques. Google it. It's a mix of West and East medicine, chiropractic and others to elimiate allergies...I have actually just started this myself, and if it works it's permanent and drug-free. I know my practitioner works with children as well (actually considering taking my son if this works...) and it is covered under our insurance (Aetna).
Good luck
