My daughter has a cowgril room right now and wants a pretty pink room instead. Any good ideas of where to start. Its gotta be pretty cheap and crafty (also easy).
shes in a toddler bed right now she could stay in this if I can find cute girly bedding. Help please.

What can I do next?

I was just in a similar situation. I painted my daughters walls all one color and then used a stencil to paint a pretty picket fence around the room. Then I used my craft paints to paint some flowers and such and stenciled on butterflys etc. Cheap and REALLY cute! Good luck!

Hello, I would start at walmart. The paint there is so much cheaper and it looks just fine on my walls. Pick out the pink she wants paint the room and go to the craft section and get some inexpensive stencils or foam stamps of butterflies and ladybugs and flowers and get small individual colors and put stamps or stencils on the wall and let her help. Then she will love the room even more knowing she help. Don't paint the celling it is better if it is a lighter color that the walls. They also make a glow in the dark paint you can use the designs on, my son has glow in the dark stars every where in his room and he loves it. Good luck

My daughter just turned 5. We did her room in Princess. It was fairily cheap. You buy posters of the princess's and put them up and buy the wall stinkers to put up. we got her a trendell bed with a canapoe on top. you could go to embay and find one for cheap. it looks really good. if you want to see a pic of it email me at ____@____.com and i will send you one

I suggest e-Bay or a discount store like Marshels, Ross, or TJMaxx.

C.,
I just updated my 3 1/2 year old's room from her crib to a big girl twin bed. I went to Target and found Hello Kitty comforter and sheets. It was very reasonable but the kicker... the end all be all for my daughter was the canopy type thing that you can hang from the ceiling. I am linking a picture of it. I think you could find beding where ever and then use the canopy. She feels like she is in a girly princess bed.
I also just saw one on Target that was a toddler set 4 pc 59.99 that isn't bad!
Here are all the canopies they have

Good luck!

Hi C.,

I have some pretty great ideas about what you could do with some pieces I have left from re decorating my daughters room, I have a twin headboard that we could pain, stencil etc, with matching dresser and mirror, I also have a "simply shabby chic" coverlet and matching sham that I changed my mind on last minute after buying it! couldn't return it! Let me know if you are interested, it would look really cute and for a decent price you could get a top notch room.

Hey there,

You may have luck at IKEA, they actullay have a pretty good selection of childrens stuff that's not to expensive. the only bad thing is it's not close by and a pretty long drive (and you know how gas $ is right now). good luck to ya, i hope she enjoys her new pink room!!!

take care and god bless,

Hi,

I think the first step is to start with a net canopy for her bed. They make the cutest ones ever anymore. I've also seen a plain white one that a mom or dad has glue gunned flowers to it. I have a two year old and she is so girly, more than I ever was! I love the shabby chic look, too. Old with the new! Great finds at Target, garage sales, and even salvation army stores. Oh yeah, Hobby Lobby, too. A girly room should also resemble who she is. Lots of pink and pretty lace, antique knick-nacks, a big fluffy rug always makes a room, too. Well, good luck and I hope that it turns out great for your little princess.

Sincerely,

T.
